Anyone know how our MB's get from the factory to our dealers? Mr. Scott's transporters aside, I know in general terms that they come via ship to train to truck to dealer to me ... but I was looking for more of the geeky details.

For example, when we ordered my wife's 2010 Lexus RX450h, our dealer notified us that it was built and on a specific ship. On the web I found a site that tracks auto-transport ships and someone geekier-than-I actually got a picture uploaded of the ship while it was unloading our batch of trucks.

Anyone know?

mine came in on a ship called the Tombarra .The ship sailed from Germany to England and then to Halifax Nova Scotia to leave vehicles before it set sail to New York...once the dealer gave me the name of the ship it was easy to track it
