Intermittent squeak from pulleys again yesterday after one of them and the belt had been changed already. How do i diagnose this myself since its intermittent? Stethoscope?

I have the same issue was it covered under warranty?

Seems like that type of squeak is kind of common with the 268 HP V6 engines (forgot the codename).

My '06 E350 (first MY with that motor in an E Class) had it as well. If under warranty then just take it to the dealer/mechanic.

Leave it up to hyperion667 to offer his imbucellic comments. The belt will be replaced under warranty. Took two times to the dealer but they did.

I had a squeaky belt tensioner pulley on my 2009 around 42K miles. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

They just changed the belt and a pulley. It was a loud squeaking again but only once for a couple miles. Warranty up in september too. Hopefully it comes back again.
