replacement sidemarker installation

Hey did a few searches and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I'm currently deciding between replacing my corners or getting the existing ones painted/tinted. Cost is about the same either way, however I wasn't sure what the level of difficulty was in replacement. Do you have take the fender off? Any crazy tools needed? How long does it take per side?

paint/tint!!!

i can personally say out of experience that replacing anything with after market or so called MB official parts of eBay is not going to make you happy over the long run. Between fitments issues and crazy gaps that come with it, finish quality and overall appearance its not sexxy at all.!
Having said that, there are a few reputable sources online to get the parts you need from people who actually pay attention to the product instead of mass market it all over the internet. If the price permits you to purchase then consider that you can always sell your orig for descent price..
I think Its is always better to properly either paint or tint over official MB parts on the car only because they are made with much better quality controls. you can also customize it the way you want to instead of looking like everyone else...Overall you first have to decide if you are planning to keep the car for a while and then once you do, you must commit and never look back! lol

I thought that was the case, for the same price I'm thinking I'll just tint them. Easy to take off should I need to as well.

sorry and as far as the removing bumpers and such it all depends on the model and the complexity of your design.. most of the things can be done by a prof body shop with still on the car, but some details will require taking off. Generally MB uses a clip system in some cases reinforced by screws. Side markers usually pop out without having to take the bumper of. so do the trims around the fog lights and bumper inserts.. hope this helps man
