2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
I think its interesting my dealer knew nothing about these being on the ground this week. I think he just wanted me to buy the E550 he had in stock for month's end. Got to love how these guys work.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I must say that this upcoming BT,along with the BMW 328d,are very intriguing to me.I look forward to hearing of your experiences with the BT just as I'll monitor Bimmerfest to read about their "d".

there's no glut of 550's here. For every 30 350's, there's one V8. After driving the 350, I had decided either a 550 or a 250. If the 250 was coming in wagon, I would have waiting to check out the new E250 first before deciding. Hard to argue with the numbers....

2006 E320 CDI
I'll be replacing my 2006 E320 CDI with this model. Have two on order, the first without 4matic, the other with. Placed the order for the RWD back in June and was told a Sept delivery date. Having second thoughts about the 4matic, we asked to change the order before the actual build date and we were told the new order would have a delivery of Early November. The RWD car had gotten pushed out about a month as well. The Dealer was happy to keep both orders active and will sell one or the other from inventory once we decide.
Getting mine in Polar White. Pretty much optioned it out with the exception of the ACTIVE distronic stuff. I prefer to drive thank-you. I also opted out of the panorama roof. Having experienced the warped drive motor in the CDI, I learned my lesson. Looking forward to the other safety stuff link BLIS and Lane Keeping as well as the new LED lighting package. Still no confirmed build date for either as of yet. Probably the deciding factor on which to choose will be whether the 4matic results in a major performance hit, either in terms of acceleration, or MPG. Anxiously waiting for the official specs.
I was once a big wagon fan and owned three Volvos years ago, but don't particularly care for that look in the E-Class, and with the spit rear seat (which I also have in the CDI), I find it accommodates "stuff" just fine.
I will be "loaning" the CDI to my daughter. It has 135K miles and other than the usual annoyances (warped sunroof motor housing, corroded satellite nav antenna feed, CEL for the glow plugs, etc.) its broken in nicely.

lease. My MSRP was $72k and purchase price was $64.2k; no money down but my payment isn't a good metric because I had negative equity on the Chrysler SRT8 I traded in.

Bringing the discussion back to topic...
I was anticipating an imminent introduction of the E250 after the press event at Mt Hood in Oregon now over two weeks ago, Aside from a couple of youtube videos and short reviews by enthusiast web sites, its been Dead Air on the MBUSA site. What gives?
