'14 E550 4Matic
I had a 2010 E550 Coupe that I traded on a 300C SRT8 last summer as I needed a sedan and didn't like the styling of the W212 sedan. Well...the Chrysler was falling apart after a year and the dealer pissed me off. I stopped by to chat with the GM at my local MB dealer, who I dealt with on the coupe.
Needless to say...I'm back in a Merc.
We took it to Nashville the next day, averaging about 27mpg for the trip. Very nice. I've already got 1800 miles on it after just three weeks, so she's broken in.
Here's a pic at home, with her garage-mate...an F30 M Sport
For a few weeks, its driveway duty as I'm storing a GTR for a buddy just back from overseas. I didn't think it was possible, but the Merc feels slow now, after driving the GTR.

I told my buddy I'd be happy to get the car out once a week to keep the tires from flatspotting. LOL.
Mods...wheels with summer tires, maybe a tune and the roof spoiler. I already put the stainless AMG pedals in....hard to believe the car didn't come with them from the factory like my '10 did.

On my 2014 the Pano opens to a standard opening with the first push of the button, but another push and it will open more. Although the larger opening seems to generate more wind noise than the factory standard.

Which is probably the best way to go anyhow if you are spending that much money on a car. When do the order banks close for the 2014 model year? March? April?

I was able to test drive 2010 and 2014 E550 and I found the 2014 drives a lot smoother. The navi looks screen is revised a bit (nicer colours' and looks updated). The trunk has a pretty cool feature where you can pull out this tray that turns into a huge bag to put your grocery in. The front end looks more aggressive and rear exhaust looks nicer. The side rear panel above the rear wheel has smoother lines. Overall the 2014 would be my choice. Both great cars but 2014 is nicer and more sportier with class.

no airmatic on mine. my only regret with that decision is the easy ability to lower it but now that I'm 40, I'm less inclined to pay the price for a lowered car these days. LOL.

I opted out of the airmatic -- heard and read too many disaster stories about air-magic. That being said, i'm very impressed with the springs on this E550 .. no regrets, supple enough for daily driving, no big dips or dives on the highway and tight in the turns.

I traded a '12 300C SRT8 which is based on a W211 E-Class. The E550 doesn't really compare with the handling of the Chrysler, though its more comfortable. I'd prefer springs from the E63 and some summer tires to even up the gap in what I was used to driving.
