I was "this" close to renew my subscription after my 6 month demo was up. They sent me an offer for 6 months for $30 for the 140 channels. But just as they sent that offer T-mobile announced unlimited music streaming that does not count against your data cap so I started using Pandora instead. And +1 for waze!
If you have a chance can you upload photos of your heated steering wheel please?
Thanks!

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
At 1200 miles on my e63s...
Some observations:
Transmission much more intelligent and smooth compared to the two clunky 7g chronics I had in the e550. Always seems to find the right hear and deceleration are super smooth
The 19s ride more firm obviously than the e550 amg 18s but I've gotten used to it and when I jump in the g35x I feel like I'm in a '93 Buick. Love the airmatic compared to the steel springs I had in both 550s
Acceleration is ridonkulous, needless to say
The seats feel the same, firm but comfortable for longer drives. Never drove this car or the 550 longer than 1.5 hours. The ventilation is just as useless in the seats as in the 550
Wiper judder on this car but didn't have it on the 550. Strange how it's seemingly luck of the draw who gets wiper judder.
Everything else is pretty much identical to the e550
This is a sweet ride, glad I finally got good luck with benz

2012 E350 Sport, P1, AMG Wheels, Multi-contour seats
Here are two photos of the interior and how awesome the black/white contrast looks (not my car, I'll take shots once I get it back). Also notice the stitching on the door panel with leather vs. the MB-Tex as well as the xtra black ash wood trim vs. aluminum that you get with the burl walnut.
That's different. My 2012 sedan with P1 and MB-Tex has that same stitching on the door panels. Did MB decide to cheapen the MB-Tex look in the current model?

When I aggressively drive the 63, about 7 or 8 mpg, about 14 in the 550 in same driving style

Hi Greg - thank you for this incredibly detailed and helpful review (and congratulations on your gorgeous new wagon!).
I'm a longtime BMW driver, so your comparisons with the 328 are especially helpful. I've been driving an E46 wagon for the last decade, and missed the boat on ordering an E61 by a few months back in 2010 (I wanted a manual trans), and although I've been watching the used market I'm very apprehensive about the N54 engine's long term reliability. So I've been exploring other options, and the E350 has really grabbed me more than I expected. After weeks of research and a test drive, the car is a serious contender for me.
I'd love to see some more photos of your indigo blue! I'm leaning towards that color over dolomite or designo mystic brown, but I have yet to see those colors in person. Do you find that the indigo does a decent job of hiding dust and dirt?
Thanks again, and congratulations!I absolutely love your color combo.

Beemie - count your blessings that you did not end up with the E61. The N54 is just way too unreliable. I had one for 75K miles and the car ate 3 HPFPs and was on its fourth set of fuel injector. Couple that with the notorious clogged moonroof problem on the E61, and I think that the E61 would not have been good long term car. The E-class is great. My wife has been driving one since 2008 and just has had regular maintenance. I switched to the "dark side" last November.
Your thread has definitely been bookmarked in my MB research folder! I cannot wait until you get your amazing wagon and I hope you post lots of photos! I'd like to see a Mystic Brown in person at some point, although it's hard enough finding Dolomite on the lot. I'm really loving this Indigo Blue in part because it seems like a darker, steelier version of my current car's color (BMW's Stahlblau metallic). All that said, these wagons really do look great in any color.

Munich - thanks so much for that feedback. We take once or twice yearly roadtrips through the rural southwest - the thought of going into limp mode in the middle of our remote (and precious) vacation just always nagged at me. (And pre-LCI/non-N54s are aging and didn't crash test well w/o comfort seats...) I'm really glad to hear reports of reliability - and it seems like the E350's engine is tried and true at this point. I may be joining you all on the "dark side" one of these days...!

Hello GregTR,
thank you for very informative review, as well as overall contribution to this community. I learned a lot from your post and it was your color combo that I am now shopping for on a '16 E350 sedan.

Folding Mirrors
The outside mirrors on US spec cars don't fold automatically, period. I had power folding mirrors on the BMW and the only time I used them was when I showed them to some friends how they worked. I never used the folding mirrors in real life situation so I'm not going to miss them on the E-class. You can manually fold them in just fine and in the rare case where I will park so close or tight that I'd fear for my mirrors I'll fold them manually but I think I'll fear door dings far more at that point than my mirrors.
