Dont mean to highjack the mans thread but do you have any more info on what you have done ? Did you have it dyned?

No, my specific car was not dyno-ed but the "development" car according to the OC Tuning dyno chart was a CLS 550 4 matic. Somewhere I saw a picture of it on a 2 axle dyno. OE Tuning was great to deal with and the car is more responsive and accelerates like a bull. It has noticeable more power and torque. I just had this done, so more evaluation is prudent, but so far I am pleased with this ECU software performance tune. I researched the US companies and spoke to Renntech a couple of times - I went with OE Tuning and am satisfied.

I also apologize for hijacking, but please keep us posted on how you like the tune. A lot of us here are interested.

Warranty would never be effected, there is no way to physically/electronically prove you have a chip. All modern programs come standard with a stock mode, where not you and not the dealer would be able to tell that something is modified.

Yeah but i think you have to drill the ECU to reprogram it.

The ECU will then be resealed just like stock, plus, the dealer will never access the ECU physically unless they can guarantee that the car won't start due to that.

Congratulations!! Did you ever drive the NA e550 before going with the new e550? Is that front grill with the star now standard on the e550 or optional? Thanks. Regards. Ned.
