My 2011 W212 Mods
 

My first post everyone and my mods are:

1. Glossy vinyl black trim on chrome window and trunk trim

2. HID headlights 6000k White

3. Full LED swap on all interior/exterior lightbulbs

4. AMG pedals (from ebay)

5. Mercedes Hologram puddle lights

6. Plasti dip rear emblems

7. Glossy black star grille

8. Flat black hood emblem

9. VIM/Nav mod on order

10. black logo wheel caps on order

11. Removed chrome door panel strips

I included some various pics, I did all mods myself except HIDs.

Nice Mods! Oddly enough, I think I like the Glossy vinyl black trim on chrome window and trunk trim is the best. What do you consider the black logo wheel caps? I swapped out my Merc Blue wreath center caps for black versions if this is what you are talking about. If you don't mind me asking, What was the total cost of the hologram puddle lights?

Looks awesome, just the right amount of mods. Please tell me where you got the puddle lights.

Stale-breed, yes I ordered the wheel caps that have black instead of blue.

Puddle lights were $20 on ebay, 2 minute install...

As far as maintenance goes, I did my cabin filter and just got a mityvac to do my trans and engine oil too.

Also just got a Dell D630 and loaded all the Mercedes software on it, gonna learn and play with it a bit and then order the Mercedes equipment to hook up to car.

looks great! I cant believe they don't make these puddle lights for a CLS.. only ones I saw I'd need to drill into my door panel

Just installed my cable for video in motion and NAV input! Works like it came from the factory this way. Took like 20 minutes to install, easy...

I would've considered the puddle lights if they were with the red lens and if it was a simple mb star.. too bad..

Looking good so far. Just need to put on some 20 inch wheels and lower it.

Yes, complete the look with some black wheels..

I wouldnt worry about drilling into the bottom of the door panel, its all hollow down there. If you are worried just pull the panel off, you can make sure that its safe then.

I would like to change the wheels but ****ty roads here and Ive had 19s before. Im thinking about plastidip some part of my wheels, maybe an edge and see what it looks like.

You had your door panel removed and the hologram hard wired? Im guessing since the CLS isn't as popular they wont produce the plastic puddle light that's just plug and play.. I searched for about 3 hours yesterday and came up with ML,GLK,S,C,E.. nothing for CLS

Do you have the puddle light on all 4 doors?

Have you considered blacking out all the windows? (Limo tint all-around)

What's does the cable do? Is factory screen or aftermarket?

Yeah, I plan on tint in the next couple weeks, but not real dark, probably 35% ceramic. its been too cold here to get it now.

The cable allows you watch movies while the car is moving and also allows address input for navigation while driving.

Only front but im getting for the rear too.

Is there a way you can post a pic of the hologram logo it puts out?

Yes, and you can actually change out the screens/image. It would be a little work but im sure no biggie. I preferred this one because I didnt have to drill.
