GREAT CPO deal going on now....

Just picked up a 2011 E350 (18k miles) Certified Pre Owned Benz.

Great deal going on now from MB Credit:

- free maint. for two years (two services)
- 1.74% APR for up to 66 months (with direct withdrawal)
- first TWO payments made by MB.

With those terms, I can say that they stopped me from buying a competitive brand.

How much did you pay can you break it down please

Thanks

This was the first deal in my life, that I tried negotiating an "out the door" price. Dealer was asking $35,988.

I put an offer in @ $36,000 - delivered.

Dealer wanted $37,000.

Walked away.

Phoned me 90 min. later -- we compromised at $36,500 - out the door.

$33,400 + $695 dealer fee + $2,405 tax/tags = $36,500

Salesman said it was a low gross deal for them, and I believe it.

Car still smells new.

drsaab 02-12-2014 03:16 PM

Yeah, it is an amazing deal. even though I have a used car dealer license, I still bought from a MB dealer vs the wholesale auction. I detailed the reasons in the thread below....

Cost me about 3k over wholesale, before all the promos that MB threw in..

Could not get comparable warranty aftermarket anywhere.

Congrats, very good deal :y
However, I might be wrong, your wood trim looked like kinda suffer from discoloration or faded , that's a known issue if this is the case

Optima2003 02-13-2014 06:26 PM

I agreed....just checked out a 2011 E350 similar to the above but with Panorama roof that wife must want. White color with AMG 18" double spoke rim...29k miles for $31,500 plus tax and stuff. Yes I do trade in my 165k miles Toyota and they paid me $2300 plus I knocked off another $1250 from their asking price....

I think I've got a good deal because of the 1.75% plus 2 payment free and 2 years maintenance....Yes, I added another 2 year extended warranty on top of the 2 years remaining warranty. Around $36,000 out the door with tax and everything. 66 months and $8000 down...around $450 a month only.

The important thing is...I've got the wife the super white E350 with 18" AMG rim plus the Panorama roof...only thing that I wish I can get is I don't get the dark grey interior...mine is grey with beige color leather. But close enough...

Airmousam 02-13-2014 06:41 PM

Op, nice job, really like that interior. Enjoy...cheers

I was reminded of what a good deal this was when I got my statement from MB Financial.....amount due $0. Will get another one just like it next month:)

My fully loaded 2012 E550 coupe was delivered to my home for $39k +TTL. After the $1200 from MB I've got right at $43k total in it. With warranty until Nov of 17, 2 maintenance visits free and the great financing I can't imagine a much better time to buy.

Now if only the weather would cooperate so I can get it out and drive it.......

D&G 02-17-2014 01:40 AM

Both of you got crazy deals!!

mystery905 02-17-2014 09:03 AM

In Canada, they waive three months of payments (up to $500 each month).

Great deal. Enjoy the new ride!

The interest rate I saw yesterday in So Calif was 1.99% for up to 66 months.

Found a great 550, similar to the OP's. Really hard to push back. Anyone know how long this CPO deal will be going on??

lbgottlieb 02-19-2014 09:24 AM

I was initially going to start a new thread titled "Pricing and Dealer Discussion," but I thought it better to post here....

I feel very surprised to see current pricing on 2012 and 2013 W212s, especially BT cars. I came across this 2013 E350BT with essentially delivery mileage with as asking of $42k in Valencia, CA. If this car was in the color I wanted, I'd be on a plane to go get it. What I can't figure out is why other cars with 5k-10k miles are going for $8-$10k more in other parts of the country. From my looks on MBUSA and Autotrader, it would appear that California cars (maybe west coast cars in general) are priced lower. Considering the low pricing of some cars and the new CPO deal - is there really that much of a glut of these cars on the market? I mean, $42k for an essentially brand new '13? Wow.....

yes, deals quoted for west coast cars always seem much lower than anything I've found in the northeast. almost insultingly lower...so I would say there is a GLUT of cars coming off lease on the west coast. Using these prices I tried to negotiate a similar deal at my dealer and he flat out said "no way"...he came down $2k, but he was NOT going to consider coming down $5k and told me if I could get a cpo car for that price at any dealer in the region to go buy it...this kind of ends the "haggling".

If you're buying a cpo, call a dealer out there and tell him what you want and what you're willing to pay, might be worth it to fly out! costs $1k to ship to the east coast, saves wear and tear, takes about 1wk.

just for yucks try the pricing tools at edmunds or kbb and use a west coast and east coast zip for comparison...see if the price fluctuates that much.

No question about it. As I live in northern Illinois, I'd much rather buy a west coast car - this way I'd be more assured that it had no prolonged history of biodiesel, and it most likely wouldn't have been exposed to a road-salt infested winter. Even with light miles on the car it would give me a means of a good baseline to start with both mechanically and from a paint/body cleanliness perspective.

I'd say it would cost closer to $1,500 for shipping to Chicago via enclosed trailer, but even with that one would be way ahead of the game. I had my Miata shipped up to Chicago from Ft. Lauderdale - there's nothing like the feeling of seeing that big semi-tractor trailer pulling slowly down the street to your house - knowing the present that's about to come out....! :D

 Appreciate you mentioning that.

Popped by my local MB dealer, and the Service rep didn't even look at my wood - and ordered me a new set (on backorder, or course). No questions asked.

I just bought one myself. I flew to Virginia to purchase mine and got a decent deal. I too receive 2 prepaid maintenance visits as well as the 2 month payments. Even though I'll run out of years on the warranty first, I especially like the unlimited mile warranty on the CPO Mercedes now.

emillswrx 02-27-2014 04:49 AM

Deal of the century

I just bought a 2011 e550 4matic with the cpo program and couldn't be happier. I was going to buy an A6 but the deal was too good to pass up. Not only did I get a 70k car for under 40k, but I drive about 36k miles a year (sales guy) and based on the extended unlimited mileage warranty I purchased (2 years with unlimited mileage) I will have warranty until 11-2017. Based on my driving habits I will be covered by the cpo program until this beautiful beast has 170k miles on it :y
And I won't have to pay for my first 2 services or my first 2 car payments, which are at 1.74% interest for 66 months with no pre-payment penalties!!!

cbeck44 02-27-2014 09:02 AM

Hoping this program gets extended and more good examples show up. With the weather, I think car manufacturers need to move some snow covered cars off the lots.

Erogan5877 04-21-2014 01:09 AM

I just bought a 2011 GL450 CPO. I got the special rate. 1.70 %. They also had a warranty deal. They removed the mileage off the warranty. Basically the remainder of the factory warranty ( time wise ) and unlimited mileage. I did have a sensor go bad a week after I bought it and I asked about the warranty and he showed me in the computer 999,999 miles until the warranty expires. He said it unlimited but the computer won't let you input that. I drive 40k a year, so i bet they will loose money on me.

Mbenz260e 04-21-2014 10:12 AM

Congrats on the new ride I like the color combo.

Definitely good deals out there with the CPO and the unlimited miles. I do about 20k a high mileage example would be a good deal for me, but probably not enough to make sense to trade in my current E. High mileage 2012-2013 S350 would be tempting however...

If I could get something in that range for a 2012 with even just P2, I'd do it tomorrow.

Yeah. I have been happy with my deal. I have put 10k in just 3 mos and have another 42 months left of warranty. So will be at 170k miles when CPO ends.

Will be Good time to jump to a 2014 s550 CPO for $50,000 range.

ph350 04-22-2014 12:19 AM

I thought the unlimited warranty were for 2012 vehicles and under? If this applies to 2013 and up, it would be crazy to pass this up. Is the warranty coverage the same as a new car?
