Saying goodbye to my E550
 

It has been a rock solid car for me, really enjoyed it too....
a couple of pix as I returned it' stock parts including the glorious
side markers we all cherish so much......
kind of cool how the new cars don't have them on the outside, but rather
inside the headlamps......

Good luck, I will stay with my E550, I know the new S is so attempting, even it has more HP, but won't be more sporty than the E550.

Can't wait to see your S and what you do with it. These 550's are great cars. Sophistication with the beast under the hood.

I test drive one. Amazing car. Huge step up from the E and w221 as well.

Unless tesla comes with some driver assist features then that will be an option too.

I feel like I just started to get to know you Hype. I hope you still chime in on advice for other like me who joined recently. Your experiences help out a lot!Take care.

Ha, just picked up my 2nd black benz yesterday. 2007 CLK550 with 28k miles...will be fluffing and buffing all weekend...they are a lot of work.....but worth it:)

Wish I could get one of these S-cars. It is like decades leap ahead compared to the E-class. There is absolutely no comparison between the cars other than that stand up star on the nose.

Congrats on the upgrade (not that we are roughing it in an E-class). The 550 engine is a dream :). I am loving mine.

Hype, I will leaving here soon too. I have a white E63S coming my way, hopefully it will be ready for pick up in 6 weeks. My E550 is a great car, had very little problems(just the front rotors), and the NA engine is so smooth. Going to miss it, until I hammer the throttle on the 63..lol

Hype - you will be missed around here. Many thanks for your humor, valuable input and love of Ian Fleming. Enjoy the new S and drop in on us from time to time. I'm on your side of the country now ( Columbia SC) so maybe we can connect on of these days at a cars and caffeine event.

Heh, I still have mine sitting at around 42K, and just brought home the 2014 E550 Coupe on Monday. It ain't no S, but I like it!

I was looking over an E coupe(not 550) in the showroom and they are NICE man....
have any pix to share? congrats brother:y

I never take good lighting ones. As you can see, I even threw the Mandrus wheels on it already haha. It definitely needs a drop though, at least in the front. I think I'll go with a different wheel choice for the coupe though. I like these Mandrus on the Sedan for sure though.
