Looks good! What does the whole plasti dip process consist of? Can the wheels and spoiler stay on the car, or did you have to remove them first? Is it a spray or a paint? What if the paints "runs" and gets onto the white?

By the way, what wheels are those? factory black or plastic dipped?

Finally, debadging is a no brainer but that's up to taste just like anything else. Can't wait to see the new wheels!
thx for the advice. Any suggestion on where to source one?

Plastidip is rubberized removable paint. I suggest you go on youtube and look up "dip your car" and watch videos on how to paint different parts of your car. I love plastidip because it allows me to change the looks of my car, especially on white cars, for a very inexpensive price. A can is $6.99 I think lol Once plastidip is applied and cured within a couple hours you can just peel it if you don't like it. Some people like vinyl wrapping but that's more permanent, expensive, and most likely you need a pro to do it.

My wheels are OEM 18" and they're dipped in anthracite grey.

What size wheels does that glorious car have?

Wheels are my next large purchase and I'm totally undecided on what I want.

19's and lower the car or 20's. I'm actually getting annoyed trying to decide because some 20's look to big and some seem to look absolutely perfect which I believe yours are? Tyres can have an impact too of course

Side skirts look good----I want to do mine like that, but they have an awkward shape.
How did you wrap them while on vehicle? Was it difficult?

Not that difficult, just a lot of patience and knifeless tape. You need to take your time prepping both cleaning and putting down the knifeless tape to get a good result. Oh and at least a 7' roll to do it in one piece. I bought a 10x5' roll to do all trims etc as the top door trim needs about 10' long piece to do it as one piece. Again it all depends on how **** you are with thing.

But take your time and you'll do it right the first time, rushing it will mess it up or make it look half assed. If you decide to do it, let me know and I'll help you out with a few pointers.

Thanks for the offer. I don't mean to sound ignorant, but what is knifeless tape? Is that separate from the wrap that will be needed? This is all new to me, so everything sounds like a foreign language

Hehe, no worries - Knifeless tape is basically a piece of carbon wire in a piece of tape, you put it down before you put on the vinyl, so once you are done putting the vinyl down, you'll pull the thread, which cuts the vinyl.

it is a much safer way to wrap something and avoid putting a knife to your paint .

When picking vinyl, spend the extra money and get the 3M 1080 vinyl, it is a lot easier to work with and you'll avoid a lot of air bubbles. the actual skirt is just a little more than 6' long, so you want to get a piece at least 7' wide/long. They are usually sold in 5' wide, so you have to make sure you pick one that is at least 5'x7' to put it down in 1 piece. I got a 10'x5' in order to cover my window trims.

I taped a chrome strip along the edge. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but eventually it grew on me lol

Wow, holy crap, talking about mind blown, lol. This is all so new and foreign to me; I had no idea the little insert in the side skirt is over 6 feet long, it doesn't look that long at all on the car.

On another note:
Because I have anxiety, I found a shop that was willing to do the following in a package deal:
-chrome lower spoiler/splitter on front fascia
-chrome bar that runs the length of the trunk
-chrome strips around all 4 windows
-chrome around front grille
-chrome slats in the grille
-front Mercedes Star (which, now that I think about it, probably can't be done because I have Distronic)
-chrome strip that runs the length of the rear diffuser
-apply blacked out rear emblems for free, if I supplied them
-let me choose any combinations of colors for the different pieces (matte, glossy, CF, body color, black, etc.)

...all for around $250-$275, depending on which colors/textures I choose.

How does that sound? Any recommendations? Anything you would change or leave alone?
