I really wanted this E250, as it has everything I want...just don't feel like going to AZ to see it, and it's not as good in person... http://www.chapmanbmw.com/Phoenix-Us...s-X451457A.htm

I negotiated mine down to $2,850, this forum helped with getting it to that number. For what is worth I was told this equated to cost + $100, not sure if that is true or not.

You very well could have payed cost plus $100 but it depends how they calculate cost. Many dealers calculate their cost by starting with the acquisition cost, add in an cost for holding (interest), dealer overhead and commissions. So they may have only made $100, but they also paid everyone involved in the transaction.

In the case of the OPs car, dealer said they were only making 1000. With his information about mileage and when the car was bought, we were able to find the exact price of what is was purchased for at auction. Adding in all costs, there was no way they were just making 1 grand.
***with that said, Dealers have to make money, they have expenses and I understand that, but if you can get a better deal why not!***

probably not true. I worked at a dealership for a 4 months, they lie about everything most of the time when it comes to used cars, a new car I would believe it much more because invoice / holdback information is much easier to find

To be clear, I'm talking about the 7/100 warranty, not the vehicle. No matter what car you bought, or where you purchased it, this warranty would have an equal cost. If I did not get a good deal, which I may not have, what would a good one be? The lowest I've been able to find on any of these forums is $2,880.
Prices went up in Sept 2014. I bought mine before the increase, and bought it out of state from Erin at MB Santa Rosa to save on Taxes.
The other popular person is Dan Boone at MB Austin, but I live in Texas and would have had to pay taxes and he is hard to get on the phone.
I'm not to familiar with current prices.
