E550 Rare - Why?
What do you say, wanna take the bet? And No stupid drink orders ( Crystal ) :-) Well 1 guitar, what you say?
By the way, I love that song, " 1 guitar " !!!!!
Or do you see the Coupe's (E550) too?
IMO there is no question that the "S" class looks too much like the "C" class cars and it's hurting sales of the "S" class. Time will tell.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I only upgraded to the E63 because the trans in my e550 was clunky and my e63 is smooth... And the e55 was my dream car... Once you go amg.....

For me, I was strictly looking for a coupe. I already have enough 4-door cars, that I couldn't see getting another one. The CLS550 didn't come in a 2-door and the S is designed for people who want to make "a statement". So that left either the E550 or SL550, the latter of which is a far less practical DD car.

You forgot the C63 coupe. The C coupe (c204) and E coupe (C207) are built on the same platform and actually have more in common than the E coupe and E sedan (w212). I thought about the E550 coupe or C63. The E coupe is nicer than the non-AMG C coupe, but the AMG C closes the luxury gap while delivering blistering performance. As a DD the W207 is probably better, but I already had my DD covered.
Every C63 coupe I saw, like the CLS550 coupe, was a 4-door, which I wanted to avoid this time around. Yes in my time researching which various MB models might be what I was looking for, I saw there were some shared components between the C and E coupes. I didn't think that was a bad thing. Just the opposite. I figured that that just meant MB considered those common components well-designed and reliable enough to be shared across different models. Also that meant that getting spare parts in the future would be somewhat easier the more broadly various parts were used across the different models.
Yes, I completely agree with you that the C63 would also make a very good DD car. It just wasn't what I was looking for. If I want more HP (and get rid of that idiotically low 130 mph limiter...the lowest of any of the cars I have) at some point, I can always just get a RennTech Intermediate tune, that would still be within the upper end of the normal operational range of both the motor and transmission, replace the H-rated tires with W or Y rated Michelin Sport A/S 3's and I would be good to go.
he is labeled douche on account of him being on the phone, in the fast lane with enough cars behind him to fill a waffle house parking lot

how rare does that one have to be?
