typing error my a$$. stop it grammar police. you cant even admit that you cant spell incompetent. you typed it wrong twice? (posts #75 and #76)

and yet you have the guts to point out others mistakes when you yourself cant even spell. just keep your mouth shut or your fingers tied up.

The Hyundai genesis currently has the lowest resale value in the US.

With Hyundai you get 90% of the car for 75% of the money. That appeals to some who want an appliance I guess.

Not saying its resale value or retained value is not low compared to many other cars. But one problem with many resale/retained value reports is that they compare current selling price vs. MSRP when new. With Hyundai and many other brands that is not accurate as they are often sold with large discounts when new.
Regardless, Hyundai has not done a good job in marketing the Genesis. Another factor re: value may be that in 2017 there will no longer be a Hyundai Genesis; it will be the Genesis G80.
Of course, this may mean that you can get a heck of a deal on a used Genesis.

BMW and Mercedes always offer big discounts as will. I remember when I bought my 2012 BMW 535i, I got over $10000 off MSRP of $67000, traded in it two year later for $47000. Lost $29% after 2 years, which is not too bad considering the big discount I got up front.

I had a new C300 for a day, and I bought it was quite nice. I thought the large screen, while initially jarring, was excellent. Old school vs new school.

I thought it rode well and the power was fine. Idle wasn't as smooth as the V6, but that was to be expected and I found that the engine was smoother than a 4 cyl. 3 series I drove last year. Did not care for the engine kill feature. But it is defeatable

As someone that just got into an E350 trading in a C250 it's a world of difference between them, they are completely different cars.

I think Mercedes botched the C300 launch from the start. While it sold well, the 2015 model year was an unmitigated disaster quality-wise. Just take a look at the W205 forums and you'll see.

Also, I predict the C300 refresh will most likely have an integrated screen a la the E class, and the rest of the models will follow suit. It isn't just users on this forum, the iPad-style screen is a jarring departure from the elegant luxury that the MB brand is supposed to exude. Every single review of the 2015 C300 had the same caveat: "Awesome car overall, iPad screen - meh I can deal with it." That's not the response MB is looking for, and they're smart enough to adjust course.

But I digress. The C class is a very fun car to drive, in my opinion. I loved my turbo 4 W204 and it was a blast to drive. The E class on the other hand is clearly a luxury sedan in every sense of the word. It's more powerful, smooth and overall a more pleasant driving experience.

What worries me about the future of the C class is if they move it away from its sporty identity. They should retain that rather than try to make it E-class "lite," IMHO.
