Playing Video on the comand display - AUX USB OR DVD

Hi all,

I have a 2014 E350 and am able to listen to the songs on my flash memory USB but when I tried to watch a movie that I have on the same USB flash memory, the it will not play, what am I doing wrong? I just would like to be able to watch a movie when the car is stopped. Can someone please tell me how to do that?

For a DVD - Is that as simple as just inserting a video DVD into one of the 6 slots and watch it?

For the video in my USB - Is that possible?

Thanks in advance

Cars are programmed so that DVD's/movies cannot be watched while car is in motion.
It's a safety thing. If a movie is playing on the screen, the driver will watch it or the passenger will shout "Hey, look at this!" The driver looks over and then hits a car with a mother and two kids head on and kills them.
If you are actually fully stopped, it should play. Of course your battery will die or car will shut off electrical after 10 minutes if engine not running.
Check out the COMAND Manual as it says when a DVD can be watched or not.

Yes, it is just as simple as putting in a DVD and selecting that disc number. USB is not setup for that so it's not possible.

although i still wouldnt advice to it, OP clearly states the he/she wants to watch a video whlist the car is stopped. so im assuming he /she knows about the video in motion.

for his/her actual query, fisch answered it.:zoom:

Thanks! Exactly, I was not planning on watching anything while driving and thought I mentioned that in my message
