I am currently in the market for an E Class. With the redesigned 2017 W213's hitting the dealerships soon I am expecting aggressive pricing.

Just hoping those who have purchased recently can share what sort of prices they got. Or if anyone has some sort of suggestion for baseline price that I should shoot for. Such as 10k below MSRP.

I just purchased a 2014 E350 sport with 30K for 30,000. NOT from a dealer, as all the dealers are insanely overpriced. Its in perfect shape besides some minor cosmetic stuff on the interior that is under warranty I am getting fixed. My GF is thinking about getting the same car with more options with only 15k and I can get it for 32500. I have a good hook up in Houston so mine was a hell of a deal, and it was from an auction. I LOVE HER (the car, not the GF lol?

On $65,545 sticker price, I received $10,053 discount in early April.

You should be able to get $10k to $12k off MSRP for in-stock E's without too much trouble. Been that way for a # of years now.

10 to 12k off msrp has been a standard discount on this car? Why is that and if it correct I should be shooting for a greater discount.

I wouldn't say standard discount but at least here on the west coast, many dealers have been discounting the E class by $10k to $12k for the past 3 or 4 years.

Maybe you can get a little bit more than $12k at the end of this year (if there are any left on the lots), but I wouldn't expect too much more than that.

Dealers weren't too willing to discount the GLK last fall when the GLC came out.

You may get lucky though. The higher volume dealers may just want to get rid of stock so may give you a heck of a deal.

One dealer offered me $20k off a 2013 E550 that has been sitting on their lot for nearly a year back in late 2014.

Thanks folks for contributing your discounts. If it's true that you could have picked up an E class for $10K off at any time the last few years, I'm looking forward to the discounts available when dealers start pricing to clear out the 2016s for incoming 2017s.

It's hard to say. Some dealers may discount, others may not.

Last fall when the new GLC's came out, I spoke to all the dealers in the SF Bay area and none of them were willing to discount the discontinued GLK by any more then the usual amount ($4k to $6k in most cases with an occasional $8k).

Some people won't like the new standard 4 cylinder in the W213, so there should still be a demand for the V6 W212 which means dealers can probably clear their inventory pretty quickly without additional discounting.

No way to know for sure until that time gets here

I picked up a black e-350 $61,195.00 for just about 10k off msrp. As the summer progresses I am sure you can do even better but inventory will certainly decline. I'm not sure how accurate it is that getting 10k off msrp is something that could have been done easily anytime in the last few years. However, after shopping around I am pleased with the deal I got.

That's a good point on the V6. Best pricing may be now as folks waiting may not realize there is no V6 for 2017 yet.

That's a good point. Doesn't matter to me because IMO buying a car brand new is just a waste of money when you can get it two years later with low mileage for half the price

Well technically if you get 10k off, that 60k car is really 50k and after a couple years when you get it for 30k, it's really 40% off. But close enough.

Got my 2010 E550 with P2 package for $21,444 last year. I dunno what it was retail, but I know I saved a buttload of money :B

That was probably a $67-70k MSRP car new before any discounts. It pays to buy used especially if the car is reliable. Trouble is finding a used car with everything you want that is reliable.
