Congratulations. The car looks cool. Is this really the S class of Mercedes.... Wow. I'm not familiar with the antique models.

homeofstone 07-05-2016 09:05 AM

I love the car. Great find.

I love anything Mercedes from the vintage sixties. Nice!
That is the definition of vault-like.

What a great addition

Congratulations! :y I love all the classic MB models as well, however mine is only 21 years younger than yours. :) My favorite MB is the 60's 280SL.

Enjoy the car.

Very nice.

I've always wondered how the older models hold up as far as the body is concerned? Any rust issues etc. to worry about?

This is one awesome piece of machinery of all times. Congratulations

No real rust to speak of. Underside is incredibly clean. Taking it to its first local cruise-in tonight. Found it on Craigslist just 40 miles away.

That's awesome. Post some interior pics. It's like grandpa came to visit the grandkids.

Nice looking 108, you should take a family photo posing in the light. My old car is either its older brother or dad, depending on how you look at it :)

I cannot stop looking at this beauty in sky blue. Man what a car. It is a perfection. God bless it and thanks again for posting the picture. I have visited this page 7 times already just to look at it :)

Cheers.

Hey thanks. It isn't a restored car, so maybe not perfection in the literal sense, but it is a great old machine - not without quirks due to age, but amazingly reliable. I've had the car for over 20 years, and probably take too many pics of it, as it is also photogenic. Here's another angle posed with the newest acquisition:
