Brake Pad choices to avoid Brake Dust

So I purchased my 2010 E350 a few months ago and of course one of the first things I have noticed is a TON of brake dust on my front rims. I assume that whoever did the last brake job must have chosen some very cheap pads. I can clean my rims spotless and within 1 day they are almost completely black again from all the brake dust.

Whats the best pads to put on this car that will eliminate the brake dust? Ceramic pads?

Haven't done it myself, but I recall many threads that mention the benefits of the ceramic pads.

normally oem pads are "brake dust factory", try R1Concepts, vendor here at MBWorld, pads are next to dust free and gives discount to members.

Are you thinking of the E550? They don't have fronts for those, but for the E350, according to their website, EUR1342 will fit for the front and EUR986 for the rears.

http://showmetheparts.com/akebono/

You can try Advance Auto, they have a $40 off $100 purchase and they're $111 before the $40 off so $71 after the code (TRT41). I think Amazon has it for $77. Rears are $85 on Advance Auto and you can use a filler like brake fluid to get it over $100 to use that $40 off code again. Otherwise Amazon is $55.

These are shown as SEMI-metallic pads. I love the price however at only $32 for the front set. However, I would like to go with a full ceramic even if it costs more. I don't care much for the high performance of the pad since this is a pampered daily commute car, but I REALLY want to eliminate as much brake dust as possible.

I changed to ceramic pads about 6 months ago and it's a world of difference. It'll take me a month to get the same amount of brake dust that I would get in a day or two before I changed to ceramic. I got mines done at STS and they used Duralast Gold Brake Pads. They came with some sort of lifetime warranty but I really didn't look into the specifics of the warranty and the price was great.

2014 E550-sold 😩
I just put new OEM pads in the front of my 2010 E550 4Matic, and they are stamped AKEBONO. Bought from Autohausaz in a sealed MB box with the star logo and serial number on the pads as well.

I have posted for this a couple of times already but AutoZone Duralast ceramic pads are just awesome for the money they cost. And they come with a life time warranty. I just replaced mine a few weeks (may be a couple of months) ago and I got the new set for free and the set they gave me also is covered with the same life time warranty.

Almost completely fixed the dust issue. All brake pads wear so you will have dust on the rims if you drive long enough between car washes. I have to wash my car every week so I don't see the dust issue but with the OEM pads I did with the same wash frequency. It was literally two days after wash the rims were black with dust with the OEM pads.

When I bought the first set of the pads they took all my info. When I needed to get the second set of pads I had to pay for them first as I still had the first set in my car. When I then returned the worn out first set they gave me my money back that I paid for the second set.

No receipt needed as my info was in their system.

And it is only about $60 with tax deal so I would not mind buying them pads every time I need them for the great job with dust reduction they do.
