Has anyone enlarged the openings on the sport rear diffuser for quad tips
Has anyone modified the stock sport package rear diffuser to accommodate the dual tips? I'd very much love to see a photo to give me a better idea of where I should plan to start the grinding and cutting process. If it wasn't for the rivet setup on our cars, I'd just pull it off for the sake of ease/optimal results (and I don't have any desire to pull the rear bumper). It would be a LOT easier if I were simply cutting off a single tip and adding dual on an existing pipe. Create a template, carefully cut/shape/sand it into proper shape.... orientation is going to be a bit of an issue from my speculation. I'm guessing trim a touch, get the exhaust in place, remove it, properly finish the openings, than do the final install....
I just scored an E63 Meisterschaft exhaust for me E550. I confirmed with the manufacturer that this would fit and the only difference in attachment points is that the e63 has an extra set of hangers which will not interfere and are not necessary. The e63 model also adds their sweet looking one piece dual tip. I will likely ceramic coat these in gunmetal if I stick with this wheelset or in Bronze if I decide to switch things up in the spring
Due to a few electrical gremlins I'm still yet to sort out 100%, I don't want to pull the trigger on a proper carbon rear diffuser. Also with winter coming along, I figured I would hold off on this + front lip until the spring.
Thank you in advance.

this is what I did https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post6852644
Also if you don't mind what price did you "score" your meisterschaft for? I was looking for so long but way too pricey for just axle back compared to what is now available from speed driven and coming from World

I'm sitting at Tim's Custom Exhaust right now. As the system has been cut off the previous vehicle a small piece of stainless tubing needed to be added. I made the judgement call to have them just install the whole thing. It kills me to pay for something that I could have done myself but knew that they are better equipped to do the fabrication work and it is looking sweet. They enlarged the openings in the diffuser and it is VERY clean. I'll report back with photos and video soon.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Disregard the title about modifying the rear diffuser since it's now completely installed. Isn't that obvious?

I'd like to know how it was done. Was it simply using an E63 diffuser w quad tips? Or, was the stock diffuser used and cut? Sorry if I didn't catch it stated above.

I was considering doing this, but just did the muffler delete for now. I think it's still too quiet! I might do what BlownS4 did and delete the second resonator to see if that helps. Right now it just sounds like a stock exhaust with a leak lol... definitely liking the sound of the turbos though

Thinking that I am going to ceramic coat the tips either gunmetal or black...
I simply modified the stock diffuser. I will post better photos and video later. For some reason, when uploaded the site cut off a portion of the images.

Holy big pipes! BIG points for taking the plunge.
I think an AMG or knock-off diffuser would tame the aesthetics, but not sure that's the point.
Um, what's the plan with the chrome bar spanning the trunk lid? I think it undermines your blacked-out badging.
P.S. I think you can put a sticker on the inside, lower left hand corner of your windshield for tolls in CO instead of using the doohickey on your rear plate.

Can you take a close up of the diffuser and how they cut it? Thanks.
Are the tips screwed on to the bumper like the stock tips were or are they actually welded to the pipes?

I have a large roll of black vinyl and just need the time to wrap the window trim back trim, and door trim/handles

I'd be curious to hear other people's thoughts or input.
Better?
Side note, the doo hickey on the back is the rear laser jammer that is part of the 9500ci Escort system. BeING that I still haven't upgraded to the AL Priority jammers, the zr4 rear is essentially worthless aside from avoiding a fault when the system boots.the front zr4s have been tested to effectively protect against the most common lidar gun in Minnesota, the pro laser 3. Luckily a buddy has one and we have tested the install. Not perfect, but a lot better than nothing.
