No drill licence plate mount
Hi everyone.
It's come time time plate my new(ish) car. In ontario you require a front plate. The car came from Quebec so had non prior. I am looking for a no drill front licence plate mount for my 2013 e550 (pre-facelift) with front sensors. My dealer was unable to provide one; the one they did have interfered with the sensors. Also I need one shippable to Canada. I am looking at an ijdmtoy one, but I'd really appreciate some insight from anyone with experience. Thanks |
try this...theres a few on ebay.

Try CravenSpeed.com. They are located in Portland, Oregon. They make a plate mounting kit that uses the tow hook to attach the unit. I had used their kit on a 2014 GLK.

That is really cool. Wish I had seen this before I drilled holes. You come up with some really good stuff.
i was gonna put this on my old w211 but the car was too low we cant accomodate it. |
Thanks
Hey guys.
Thanks for the great suggestions. That mustang one looks really creative but I think the cravenspeed one is more what I am looking for. Going to see if I can order it and get someone to bring it out to me to avoid the thrice-damned shipping charges to get to Canada. If only the Canadian "Dollar" what still just that... Thanks again and appreciate any more ideas! |
no worries, just make sure that what you'll get wont be in the way of the parktronic (if your car is optioned).

I don't know if the Merc has the ability to screw in a tow eyelet, but on VW's they've used a bracket system that screws in that spot.
Also a good place to mount a GoPro! |
