w212 TMPS resets?
Hello, My TMPS sensors are new... I had new tires and sensors put in. Does anyone know hot to program the new sensors? Or is this a shop specific tool that has to be used?
If so,/if not, is there a developers mode in the in dash unit that i can access TMPS info? Perhaps turn it off if it becomes too big of a headache ?
2 part question ^

Isn't it in instrument cluster menu under setting , tire pressure?
If those sensors are new it might take some time for them to start reading the pressures , after you made sure yiu have right pressures all around , just reset it (under settings , tire pressure). If i remember correctly

I drove around for a several weeks after a tire rotation before it recognized the location of my sensors to each position. I was told they could go into SDS and set it up. But a dealer would need to do that. You could ask a local tire shop for help, but it's not in the car menu AFAIK. I just waited...

I bought new wheels and new OEM TPMS sensors two years ago and they were installed by America's Tire, they didn't do anything special and told me the car would recognize the TPMS sensors by itself after driving around. If I recall correctly my TPMS sensors were working like the next day or week, it was pretty quick. I didn't have to do anything and the shop didn't do anything.

Amg?
The tires and rims are oem AMG, they are the standard 17" amg. I'm curious if the car can not read the sensors due to technically bc it's not oem to this vehicle

If they are the correct sensors, they should work with any wheel you put on your car.

when I switch between winter and summer wheels I have to reset tpms. Put the car in park and start it. Go to tpms option on menu and choose reset. Drive the car for about 10 mins under 30mph. When I do this it recognizes all the time.
