Woograin trim pieces
Hey guys,
Noticed in the 2014+ E's that the lower trim piece below the outboard armrests (in the doors) is now satin/silver/chrome-ish, instead of the woograin in the pre-face lift models.
Anyone here have a 2010-2013 W212 that wants to sell their pieces; or know how I can source the pieces to replace my silver trim?
My woodgrain code is: H14 Burl Walnut Wood Trim
How simple of a job is it? Is it just snap-on, snap-off?
----------
on another note, my other option would be to replace the entire woodgrain with designo Natural Bamboo. Anyone know any part # or sources (other than the stealership)?

It should probably be the same. I replaced mine and it wasn't too bad. My old set was faded. You can try looking on eBay. A whole new set is over 2k, but the trim pieces shouldn't be too bad. Someone is selling used complete sets for around $200+.
There's a youtube video for it, pretty much follow it and it will come apart. You just need a few pry tools to get at it.

Yeah I saw that seller that was selling the sets on eBay before I posted on here; but unfortunately for all the smaller trim pieces I do need from the kits, the tabs are broken off on those pieces from all of his kits...Go figure...

We need a brand new thread with instructions on how to remove the complete trim set. The burl wood trim on my 2012 are faded. I want to vinyl wrap them but too scared to remove fearing I might break the clips. There are no clear instructions anywhere on the web.
I'm also willing to pay a reasonable amount to a pro who can do it locally. I live in Houston, TX area.

The rest of the pieces are a little more difficult.
You may be able to get the dealer tp replace under goodwill warranty. Lots of people got theirs replaced that way, albeit taking a long time for the approval.

I think there's a thread in the other forum with instructions on how to remove the trim. I bought a set on eBay so I knew where the clips were when taking it off. For the door, you need to take the panel off before you can take the top pieces off. Any body guy should be able to do it and there's a video on how to fix scroll knob on youtube which requires taking off the trim pieces on the console.
