Buying a loaded 2010 E-350

Hi, this is my first post. I'm looking at a 2010 E-350 4 Matic. It has the following options.

Keyless Go
Parktronic
Distronic Cruise
Adaptive Highbeam Assist
Lane Keep Assist/Blind Spot
Rear DVD
Pano Roof
Dynamix Seats

It's in ok shape. Few cosmetic issues that can be fixed, I am taking it to MB dealer today for a PDI. The car has 77,000 miles at the dealer wants $15,500. An extended powertrain warranty is $3,000 for 2yrs/24,000 miles, which I think is too much!

My question is, how likely is all that other stuff on the car to fail? I love all those features, just worried about them. Thanks!

Make sure they tighten (and Loctite) the bolts on the pano roof and check each parking sensor (they're like $700 each I think)... Also check if the VIN is in the range that's affected by the airbag recall. More info on that can be found around here. If those things check out, you should be good to go... maybe others here will have more to add.

I would not pay for an expensive warranty like that on what is basically an inexpensive car to begin with. These are reliable cars and I seriously doubt you will get your money back if it passes a comprehensive PPI. Since you have several MB cars, you should know the drill by now.

The other MB's I had were bought at MB dealer and the GL was CPO, so I wasn't as worried. Thanks for the feedback. Driving to MB now. This this car is really nice. I've never had one with all these extra options.

Congrats. As others have said after the inspection if everything checks out the additional warranty may not be worth it at this point. Good luck and post up some pictures when you get a chance.

I have a few of those options and more miles on my 2011. Issues so far has been the faded wood trim (open the doors and look at the trim covered by the door and then look at the exposed wood). The Mb-tex driver/passenger seat also rips in the seams, and the seat heater (driver) didn't work. The bixenons and the keyless go have been fine. Pano makes that creaking noise when going over a ramp at an angle. Tighten bolts as mentioned by others. Dynamic seats have been fine, don't have distronics or lane keeping. Have them update firmware/bluetooth/keyless go. There's some $100 off $200 service thread around, register and use it.

I have definitely noticed the faded wood as I've been looking around. The dealership is doing the inspection now. The vehicle definitely needs a thorough buff. It's black on black. I noticed a small crack in the MB Tex seat cushion which the dealer will give me an estimate on, also noticed one of the air vents in the rear is broken. I brought a DVD with me, so I'm going to check out the rear seat DVD players, I don't have children but I think the look of them is nice.

It went well. Dealer only found a few items that need to be addressed. Nothing needs to be done right now. I went back to the dealership and purchased the vehicle. Washed it when I got home. Needs a good detail and buff, but I'm looking forward to many miles of fun!

Nice, that sounds like a loaded 2010 E350. That's a lot of options for $15k.

You mention dynamic seats - is it driver only or both seats? I thought those were leather but I guess they came in mbtex also.

SA Code 432 for the Dynamic seat. Do you really have these in this E350?
That would be the most rare option you have listed.

Yeah, I think you guys are as shocked as me...it looks like it does have the massage seats, but not the Active seats.

I believe this is the car, looks pretty decent from what I can see...just sad it doesn't have real leather:

Yes, a VIN check shows 432 on the datacard. Nice car!

Sorry for the delay. I uploaded a few pictures. The drivers seat is dynamic and it is MB TEX, seems odd to me that they loaded this car up with everything but the leather package. The seat is pretty cool though, keeps me in place when taking exits on the highway. The service guys at the dealership said they have never seen an E-Class with the factory DVD players. I also discovered the illumated door sills and the rear side impact airbags.

Congrats on your purhcase, fellow Virginian!
Now you need to retrofit leather and ventilated seats!

Hope the dealer agreed to fix the rear vent and other cosmetic issues.

I don't think it's that rare, my E350 also has them. It also has MB-tex. Doesn't have driver assistance or rear DVD.

Anyway that car is probably as close to fully loaded as you'll see. I've hardly ever seen the rear DVD option. Cooled seats, night vision, illuminated door sills, real leather, sport steering wheel/wheel package, accessory package/spoiler would make it fully loaded. But I don't think those really exist in an E350.

Oh, I didn't see the code for illuminated door sills, should have been an 067. Maybe the guy added them afterwards.

Go here and add up all the options you have, real leather was another $1590 list price option.

Thank you. I'm in Maryland. I didn't ask the dealership to fix anything because they are a Chrysler dealership and judging by their detailing job, I knew I wouldn't be happy. I will have the Mercedes dealership take care of all issues with Mercedes parts and supplies.

Yeah, I agree. I got very lucky and my car (E350) has all of the above, except for night vision, but I don't think that was continued with the MY2014 cars?

Yeah, night vision seems to be gone from the list of options for 2014. It's like they gain a few new features, but then remove some old ones. I normally just go to this site and change the year and then you can see what options were available for a specific year and model.

It is a luxury model. I personally don't care for the sport models, and I would never want the dealer installed accessories like the two rear spoilers or the chrome door handle inserts. It's not my style at all. Just got back from my first night drive and the cornering headlights are pretty awesome. Never had a car with those. Made an appointment for Tuesday to start the rehab process. Super excited!

My chrome handles and spoiler were installed from the factory (and not dealer), surprisingly.

Awesome. I am excited for you. Which dealership are you going to, MB of Chantilly?
