I think I'm about at $1600 for the year with my 2013 E550 and my wife's 2014 GLK. I have bundled coverage. For those that haven't, and are looking for some significant savings, we went up to a $1,000 deductible and it saved us somewhere like $300/year on our auto's. Given how pricey these things are to repair it's a no brainer - basically once you get past a year and a half you are making money, effectively, so it's a worthwhile dice roll. This is all with Arbella.

Whoa--you have a $1000 deductible AND you still pay $1600/year!!! Where do you live? NJ? NY? Los Angeles?
Is the crime or accident rate high there?

It's for two cars and I live right outside Boston. It also gave us a massive discount on our home policy. So it doesn't tell the whole story. Rates have been going through the roof here in MA as of late.

It's the same in the PNW, rates have gone insane. My 16 E250 is over $1500/yr now, and that's with the $1K deductible.

Fortunately the fintail kind of evens it out, the classic policy on it is still under $150/year, I think.

Jesus!!! Note to self: never move to PNW or Boston :-) I have a $250 deductible, and my yearly premium is still about half that.
Shout out to GEICO!

What year is your C43, btw?

So is your rate $800 or $400? Keep in mind that half of $1,600 is $800 for each car...........so, if you pay $800 we are paying the same thing.

Yes, my 1996 Impala SS policy is $170 as well on collector insurance

In post #10 you said you pay $403 per 6 months and now you are saying $400/annually. Which is it?

Nice audit work (I'm an auditor).

To be clear - I pay about $800/per year (12 months) for each of my cars, for a total of $1,600 per year (12 months) covering two cars.

My 2014 550 is $440 every 6 months and I think he is mistaken with a $400 annual quote for a W212. I don't think your rates are out of line at all. They are actually quite reasonable for MB cars.

My bad---it does seem a little confusing, given the back and forth (that's what I get for trying to multi-task). But the point I was trying to make is: my deductible is only $250 (which usually means higher premiums), compared with your deductible of $1000 (which would warrant MUCH lower premiums), and I still pay in the same ballpark.

Capiche?

Lots of inept/distracted/"new" drivers here, and overall insane cost of living.

C43 is long gone, I have just kept a running total. It was a 98.

$1437.00 per year with State Farm 250/500 coverage with $1000 deduct collision and $100 comp. for an E550. I live in Los Angeles, but have 2 other Mercedes cars. My CLK63 Black Series and C55 are $99.00 per month each with the same coverage. I will be moving to Las Vegas in August so hopefully the premiums will be reduced substantially.

I got my renewal statement recently. I'm changing asap. I'm with progressive and have been for 11 years. No claims, no points, no accidents. Currently registered in Breckenridge, CO. 500 DED, 50/glass, and I'm paying 195/mo.... wtf. Only issue is am ex ran up a few accounts that I just found out about and havent yet agreed to settle on. However those may cause issue with my work licensing so will take care of them asap
... brutal rates though! Keep going up every time the policy restarts... I can cut it in half at geico...

$850/6months in North Jersey. When I see people paying $500 every 6 months, i just want to run away from this state lol My fiancé and I are planning to relocate to VT in a couple years though...

Come to Boston - best of both worlds (lower rates) and you don't have to move to the country to get cheaper insurance (kidding, of course).
