My 10 E550 climate control has stopped working completely. For a short period it would start working after driving a short distance, since Fri it hasn't worked at all. No buttons do anything except light up. Any thoughts, have replaced my main battery a couple of years ago but the front battery is original. Any thoughts/help?

That MY does not have the self diagnostics,therefore you are left to go to an indy who knows your system and will put a set of gauges on the car to start the process---if you don't have any money----live with it!

Old stand-by, un-fasten the ground cable it started working again. Have appointment with the dealer to look at it. Thanks for input.

If you have climatronic with REST button and LCD, you can troubleshoot the system with tip of your finger.
Go to MMedic for guidance.
If not- avoiding visit to stealer will give you enough money to buy scanner reading MB.
