They look nice, but those are knockoff headlight assemblies, hence the very cheap price. Nowhere in that listing does it mention that it complies with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 (FMVSS 108). To do that, they would have had to submit samples to a certified testing lab for compliance testing. Tolerances for bulb placement and reflector design are down to the MM. Without that level of scrutiny, the light pattern may not illuminate the road for you and may blind the oncoming traffic.

The way they build these assemblies is to take apart existing headlight assemblies and reverse engineer them to create the molds for the housings and reflectors. No way is it as accurate as what was done to create the original part. But they dont care, they don't sell them to meet any standards, just to look nice and to fit in the hole.

You could have polished the existing assemblies to make them clear again. Most modern lamps have a clearcoat on them to protect them from chips from gravel and rocks. That clearcoat yellows in the UV and polishing them removes it.

I had the factory halogen headlights. I have read several forums stating that these headlights are better than the factory halogen setup.

I have already been been able to use them on the road at night and it lights up the road 10x better than my previous headlights . So for me I cannot complain at all I think it was money well spent !! And I would 100% recommend them

I went to a place and he thought that there was some
hazing on the inside of the light as well has on the outside he didn't think restoring them would do to much he had recommended to get new ones .
Plus there was a dead bug in the headlight lol gross

There's a TSB to fix the V-etching inside the headlight... you could've had the dealer clean it for free lol

The point isn't that you can see better, it's that people coming in the other direction can't because the headlights blind them.

That is not true at all. I had them leveled by the shop who installed them very reputable place.
they don't point out into oncoming traffic they point more towards the street. We leveled them to the specs that they should be at.
I don't know why everyone is hating on the lights. They are perfectly good quality lights

Can you please make a video during the night time, for those who might want to upgrade?
Thanks.

tip: when you record video or picture, be sure to show beam against perpendicular
wall on level ground about 25' away. this should show beam dispersal including
uncontrolled glare, if any. many folks performing mods will take a photo looking
towards the car which is, in my opinion, pointless.

driver's view on dark road is also good which gives an indication of beam focus
and useable spread.

Congrats on the upgrade. They look better and it sounds like they work better so that's a big win.

<><><><><><><><><><><><>

It never ceases to amaze me just how cloudy old plastic headlight lenses can get ... from nearly every auto mfg out there. I gotta believe the haze reduces the light output and that can't be safe.

Are glass lenses impervious to hazing? Just wondering. Seems to me the Lexus LX had (still has?) glass lenses that are allegedly impervious.

With respect to the stealer's cleaning method for the etched V, it didn't work on my car and I believe most (all?) other posters state the same.

thanks man man I really appreciate it !!
i got a car wash for the first time with them no condensation or anything as well!! They perform excellent in my opinion. My old lights didn't put out nearly as much light plus it was getting condensation in my drivers side light
