So a dog bit my car...

Was at a friends house and while we were leaving there dog ran up to my car and literally tried biting the car!

When i pulled over and looked there was slobber all over the rear driver side door and a 1-1 1/2 inch inch scratch all the way down to the base coat. The plastic is also scratched.

I'm not really sure where to take the car to get this fixed. It looks horrible!

Is your friend paying for the damage? I think a good local shop can fix that up.

Is wasn't a German breed dog by any chance?

I would have it checked by a couple of detail shops to see what they think.

It should rub out, it's in the clear coat.

Your friends homeowner's insurance may cover this kind of event. My homeowner's paid when my dog pushed our mail carrier off the front porch.

Ask a body shop if they can buff it out. Its amazing what some of them can do.

Your luck is on an epic bad streak right now. Your friend should definitely be footing the bill if it is indeed a friend. I've never in my life seen a dog attack a car that was not moving. That is weird as hell lol and very random.

Def. seems like something a indy shop could touch up with ease.

Oh man, I'm dying here with my luck lately!! It's more of a family friend so hoping we can work it out but I'm not confident.

I'm going to take it to a body shop Ive had some work done at in the past on previous cars and see what they say, it's definitely pretty deep and won't seem to buff out.

I can dig it. I've had people I'd literally take a knife in the back for act funny when it came to money. Best of luck and one of these days your luck will turn the other way and you'll be coasting without any worries.

That is one stupid dog! My neighbor dog that barks incessantly, tried to bite the chain link fence that separates our yards and broke off two teeth. Yes, another stupid dog. My dog just sat in the yard and shook his head.

Sounds like a curbed episode.....what a crappy draw, good luck.
Lets hope the owners buck up and do the right thing.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good show. Can't wait for it to come back.

A dog bitting a car. This is the most unusual situation I have ever seen. Should buff right out. Damage does not look bad at all.
