Lol

Got the car back this morning and it's riding smooth as before I had to take it in. I see the part number/Description is 212-320-31-38-80 REMAN AIR SUSPENSION STRUT

I checked online and it seems you can get it for about $800-900 from MB parts site but the dealer charged $1140. Seems not to far off when you included shipping. Also they charged for 2 screws and 1 screw w RND Hexal Head. Labor was $314. So after diagnostic testing cost and taxes it came to exactly $1,790.66

This can be a guideline cost wise for others if same thing on one corner happens to you.

I'm also approaching 100k miles, my airmatic already acts kinda weird, one side sits like half an inch lower than the other, but only like half of the time.

Funny thing is mines was almost 100% normal and I had it looked at a few times and never any issue was brought up. Only thing that I did notice is when it's 20 degrees or below overnight my car would sit all the way down. It was doing that since I bought it. Last winter I noticed it would give me the wait for vehicle to raise message on the dash upon start up which it didn't do in years past. Since it would still raise and I had it looked at after that I never paid it much attention.

So it's luck of the draw. The day that it went I was driving through Dunkin Donuts drive thru making my morning run for the wife and I heard some noise sounded almost like I scraped my rim on something. When I got home and looked at the car it was low but eventually by later that day it was very low on the one side.

Not sure if I mention this but when I was driving I would get a Malfunction warning with an up/down arrow in middle of the car on the dash. Also when I was driving I would get another warning message that would light the dash up red that said "Pull over car too Low" or something to that effect.
