$2.15 for Premium Gas...
Stopped by Sam's Club in West Houston for gas today, instead of 87 octane reg at $1.95, saw 93 octane premium for only 20 more cents at $2.15 / gal.
I asked the attendant if that's an error, he said NO, it's selling quite well all day.
Although Sam's gas is not Top Tier, coming back tomorrow for another fill up...

That would be great. Here the wholesale clubs have been hanging around $2.40/gallon for premium, beating the other stations by 20 cents or more.

I got 92 octane for "only" $291.9 yesterday at the local 76 yesterday. Lots of people heading North on 101 for the Eclipse. Oh well, at least they don't allow self serve in Counties over 40k population. So I feel like a EV owner not having to touch those icky ICE fueling systems. ( I learned this by browsing Tesla forums) LOL!

I don't miss Oregon's cost of living and high fuel taxes! Grew up in the Portland area. Miss the scenery, but not the politics or the naked bicycle parades, nor the 24/7 protests and rallies!

I live 250 miles away from Portlandia, and have no need to go there. I enjoy no sales tax (think about buying M-B's tax free, etc). I'm retired so I don't pay any withholding taxes, and I only fill up about once a month so gas costs are low on my radar. To each their own. YMMV

We moved 8 years ago. We lived in the West Linn/Lake Oswego and have contemplated moving back many times. Extraordinary housing prices, state income tax, etc. make us hesitate.
I really do miss no sales tax though! But at least with sales tax I get to choose when and how much taxes to pay, rather than an automatic deduction from my income.
I envy your location!
