Where did our car listing go??

My profile still lists my 2014 E550 4Matic as the car I own, but it appears now to be gone from the signature. It also seems everyone is suffering from this same fate when I look. Not knowing what people drive when asking technical questions is problematic. What the heck is going on with this site?

I guess they updated the software. For a moment there I couldn't even find the post reply button, it was much easier when you could just reply on the bottom of the post. Sometimes things get better, sometimes worse.

Ok, so I wasn't the only one, that's good to know.

The car info is still there, I went into profile thinking it got lost but it's all still there. Must be an option to display it or not and someone shut it off. Having it display would really help as there are so many changes from year to year, a 2010 is way different than a 2016.

Yeah, that information as to what people own is really important when discussing technical issues, otherwise we will be asking "what car do you drive?" constantly.

Wonder when that went away. Seems signatures are gone too. The only thing in your details you can customize is your location so I added my car there for the time being.

The change in reply button was frustrating at first, until I found the skin selector at the bottom and chose the one without infinite scroll. Now at least that it back to how it was before. Get off my lawn!

I added my car details to my location and signature. The location update worked right away, but the signature did not. Now today, signatures appears to be working again.

EDIT - I noticed in the classic skin that there is a box to check to use signature (see mine below with car info). On my phone, when I post I don't have that option (see my post #12 below). Oh well, maybe they'll get this figured out.

Yeah, I added it to my location in the signature for now also. Technically, I am living in the car part time also, right?

I would like to know who the idiot was that took the information away. Evidently they really do not use the forum to help other members. Without the car year and make and model you will have to keep asking what they drive in order to answer the questions. They just cannot leave well enough alone. This definitely is not an improvement. This was a stupid loss by some idiot in charge.

Of course the decision makers don't use the site. The site is owned by Internet Brands, a billion-dollar corporation, whose main concern is that they make their advertisers happy across their portfolio sites. As long as the site gets traffic, they can charge fees to their main demographic, which consists entirely of advertisers.
