Multicontour Passenger Seat Retrofit?
Has anyone completed (or know of someone who has completed) a multicontour passenger side retrofit on a 2010 W212, which was already equipped with the multicontour drivers side option?
If so, did the retrofit require only the seat and coding or are other parts required (such as additional air compressors, pumps, and lines)? Its seems this option was available in other countries however Mercedes excluded the US. As such (theoretically at least) those of us here in the US may be able to retrofit our vehicles to include this option. There was a post about this a while ago but since then no updates. |
My '04 E500 had it on both sides, but my 2010 and now 2014 were eliminated on the pass side. My passengers never appreciated it on my '04 so I think MB made the right decision to remove it. I would never spend money to retrofit, but good luck to you in getting it done.

Weirdly enough, the W213 is back to bilateral multicontour seats.

Update: Dealership states coding is unavailable for this particular project. Might ask around a bit more but at this point the only viable solution is to find someone who both has Mercedes STAR equipment and is willing to allow my contact remote access for the coding. Slim chance at best.

Did you ever make any progress with this project?
So far I haven't been able to find anybody who has fully successfully added an active/dynamic seat. |
