Autovin lease return inspection question

Wondering if anyone has returned a lease recently and how the inspection went, if they also checked under the front bumper and right side of it for the typical curb rash.

Its no big deal, sometimes you haveto use the bank acct # instead of the #s on the card they leave you to check the results, but they will tell you whats F'ed up.

My tires were 4/18 or whatever the max # is and they accpete dthem back. i think 3/18 and less you haveto pay a few bucks

there is an acceptable dmg of like 500~ that they wont care about, including minor wheel rash, but they still note it on the slip =D

They will also do another inspection after u return it, so this one is just kind of a waste of time

I returned a lease car about 3 month ago. Toyota financial use AutoVIN to pre-inspect their lease return car. Process went pretty smooth. You make an appointment with AutoVIN and they come out to your home or work place. Take about 30-45 min. They want you to wash the exterior of the car before the inspection.

The inspector check inside and out, trunk, spare tire, under the hood even under the car. He measure the paint thickness, wheels curb. He document everything with pictures. He measure every dents and scratches, measure tire tread. Take pictures of your owner manual and spare key, excess miles.. You get the copy of the report in your email once he upload his report. You even can opt for the dealer to view your report on line just incase they might want to buy it.

Toyota doesn't charge for any dents smaller than a half dollar coin but as long as the paint hasn't been broken. My daughter Toyota had the hood and fender repainted and the inspector caught that with a paint thickness meter. She must have two dozen of door dings and scratches, two was very deep but the paint wasn't broken. I didn't get charge for anything but I have to paid a disposition fee which was $350. Mercedes disposition fee are higher. If you trade in your lease and get a new car they wave the disposition fee.

btw..be nice to the inspector!!
