"Need Helpful Info" Getting off Engine Cover

I seem that there's no videos of anyone removing their engine cover in the newer w212 or w213 engine cover for spark plug change... I can understand this since it's still pretty early to change them but I'm coming onto the 70k to 80k mile marker.

Since Mercedes changed their engine layout from two air filters on the top to the one on the passenger side since 2012, I can't see any clips or clear cut way to remove the engine cover to the spark plug connections. Any links or details would be greatly appreciated!

So you don’t just grab it on both sides and pull straight up? I know M B makes these covers easy to get off for their techs. Just grab it and pull

Well the front one has the clips but the cover over the plugs look like they shouldn't be pulled out without a certain sequence..

I believe for the newer engines with direct injection, you have to take off the intake manifold to get at the spark plugs. They went from a 90 degree V6 to a 60 degree V6 when they switched engines. There's many on here complaining about the $600 charge to change spark plugs at the dealer when it was easy on the M272. You could probably find an indy mechanic to do it, but it still won't be as easy as the previous engine.
