Note: car was modified with original mercedes benz ipod

You need to go into the settings of the android and choose the correct version command you have. Normally only 2 options. I'll send you screen shots later if what it looks like

Needed help with the new screen I put on yesterday....

Hey guys, please help me with all the possible knowledge and solutions you guys might have....
I’m having it installed on my 08 W204 C63

1. My UI is totally different than any other pictures or video I can find on the internet.... ( which means I don’t have any secret menus or Android settings or a car logo showing doors open on the left side like you guys have.....) instead, if my doors open, it will pop up in the middle every 2 seconds....

2. I have installed the screen along with a reverse camera, However the image is mirrored..... also the display showing doors opened is on the opposite side as well.....

3. The audio quality sucks like hell with Aux cable which is the only option I have. When I was using the comand, I used to have 3.5mm to Bluetooth which was awesome, wondering if the screen can act like a phone and connect to my Bluetooth adapter for sound output?

4. The air-con setting shown on the bottom cannot indicate temperature setting but just HI all the way

5. On Dash screen, it did not show any mileage info like you guys do

other than the above problems, everything’s fine and I love the screen, please help me with this...

You seem to have a different software installed on your unit.
Can you post a picture from Settings - Software Version

Contacted the seller, and he’s only a reseller, can’t resolve any of my problem at all.....

Then return the unit for a refund and buy one which has the working interface.

AUX is the best way to get the sound in the best quality, so if this isn't the case something is wrong.

Just return it and buy a better version.

You seem to have the V1. The specs are 1GB Ram 16GB Rom right?
I only know how to upgrade the V2 (2GB Ram 32GB Rom) to the latest firmware version.
Maybe someone else here know the process and the latest firmware files for the V1.

thanks mate! But I don’t think mine is V1 though, it’s on Android 7.1 with 2GB+32GB, probably just the launcher....

Mhh thats strange.
Regarding the AUX problem you could try the following.
Disconnect the AUX cable and try to play some media while the OEM Screen is still selected to listen to AUX.
Regarding the launcher you could try the one from the latest firmware which is here
Download

Can’t get screenmirroring to function

Hello,

I cannot get screen-mirroring to function for the life of me. All I get is a dancing screen.

The AUX is not an option on NTG5.x you can only have USB or BT... Your unit should have come with an RCA to USB cable or RCA to Bluetooth extender

Hi guys, I just purchased one these android units. I have a factory reverse camera, is there any way to that show on the android screen an not the factory command, thus being able to take advantage of the dynamic lines and the radar sensor graph?

I think you need an aftermarket camera for it... I plan on doing this if I can find a plug and play camera the place the OEM one

IDIOFFO 05-02-2019 05:08 PM

That sucks I was hoping to find a way to utilize the factory camera and avoid having to get an aftermarket one and run new wires

I thought about installing an aftermarket TV tuner.

Hello to every one of the MBWorld.
I attached an Android headunit.
The vehicle is BENZ S212 2011 NTG 4.5 MITSUBISHI command system.
The unit version is the Android 8.1 8core 2G 32G.

After installation, the command system TV no longer displays.
Upon contacting the seller, the response was "The TV will not display."

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...26c53bef9.jpeg

So, I thought about installing an aftermarket TV tuner in order display it on the android.
In the settings menu, the AVIN, DVR, and F-CAM was added to the HOME.
Then the video signal was connected to the yellow RCA plug power cable.

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...4599d51a9.jpeg

When the AVIN and F-CAM icons are clicked, the command system screen is displayed.

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...ffa885b6c.jpeg

Normally, the seller should be contacted, but the Chinese seller is a merely a trading company and was unable to respond to any of my inquiries.
Please let me know if there are other ways to display the external video signal on the android.

I was able to get the factory reverse camera show on the android screen as an aftermarket so that you get the dynamic lines as well as the radar diagram. I used a fakra to RCA pigtail cable splitting the signal in two

Temperature Display issue

Quick question can anyone please take a look at their AC temperature display and the outside temperature display on the unit and tell me if it accurate with what your car displays? The temperatures my car display VS what’s on the android screen are off, see the picture. Anyone having this issue? An it’s the same issue with the outside temp too

It looks like it's taking a simple conversion of Celsius to Fahrenheit. It's probably a more accurate temperature, as i'd imagine a german car was built with Celsius in min.

My unit shows the dynamic lines both on the on the Android screen and on the factory Command screen without using any additional cable or splitting the signal.
However, it only shows the reverse view on the full width of the Android screen if I put the car in reverse while the Android screen is still booting, for example first thing in the morning when I start the car and back out of my driveway.
Once the Android screen fully booted it always switches to the smaller Command screen when I put the transmission in reverse, even if the kids were watching a movie on the Android screen..
