10.25 inch android headunit installed

Thanks! I saw the plug, and knew it was there before removing the COMAND knob. But the middle part of the cable was tucked way under the center console. There was no way to take out the COMAND knob without cutting the wire. I could lift it and surrounding trim about 1/2 an inch, but no more. Not sure if its specific to the C207, but I think i saw someone else who had the same issue. I ordered a new one regardless, haha.

Any answer to my Bluetooth question while you're chiming in?

So, is this install easy to live with as a day to day element? I just got my car back from MB after a CEL and a O2 sensor so now I want to do some mods. I just hate stuff that doesn’t work right all the time like factory. Is it a solid piece or a tinker bit?

The site is filtering the url for Chris's site. Use https://tinyurl.com/ybunfpr8 and select you model of car from there and then the headunit (LHD or RHD) variant.

I had that happen initially when my audio out for Android was connected via the 3.5mm to Aux. Like you, I heard static when switching over from Aux to BT (i.e. BT audio direct from phone to the COMAND head-unit). Tried a bunch of things, but nothing worked. The settings that finally worked for me were - (a) I connected audio from the screen to the head unit via BT (and changed the related audio out in the screen's settings to BT vs Aux) AND (b) lowering volume on the screen to 5 or 6 (vs. higher). And yes, accomplishing (a) was a pain in the butt. I had to go through 'Factory Pattern' (the one with the 111111 pass key) into the tablet settings, turn on the BT and then rush back to the "FM" to get to the stock screen, search for BT devices, find "Android BT", and finally pair the devices. Took me a few tries....now I have audio via BT AND steering wheel audio controls (back, next, etc.) via BT. All is finally well.
wow, it is interesting. I also would love to have the audio through Bluetooth connection, but how it can happen? i tried so many times both on my OEM radio to find the android Bluetooth or on the android side to find the OEM Bluetooth but no success. can you please help

All -
i just purchased this unit and am having a shop install it for me (hey, don’t judge me, I know when i’m out of my depth).
The shop hop says they are having trouble with the unit’s audio (flowing through the aux in the glove compartment) is too quiet and they can’t remedy. Has anyone run into this or know how to fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
David

I had this when I plugged an extension lead in which had a noise filter in it. Removed that as it was just a pre-cautionary thing and it was fine. I did also have to play around with the default volume levels on both the HU and the Merc system to balance them all out so they all played at around the same level when switching sources. So couple of possibles there.

Im feeling like it might be , just my luck
This is my setup, ntg 4.5/audio 20

Second picture I just connect the radio OEM plug that's in my console directly to the new cable (OEM connector ) and then connect the new head from the 10.25 cable into the back of my console (standard)
Connect the RCA to aux cable.

Lastly I connect the blue OEM plug that was in my old display to the new wire I have pictured beneath and then connect the new rectangle white plug into the back of my screen leaving the usb out

No bootup or nothing, not sure if it's worth noting I have a reverse camera that has been properly installed into my car , but there's no wire at the front that would make me able to put it into the yellow cable as designed with the 10.25
Is there anything I can do?? To see if this device is defect??
Cheers for help
still have this issue if anyone could help, i sent it back to supplier who showed me product still works so not sure why it didn't boot up in my PRE-FL NTG 4.5 W176
I read on another forum " Eventually figured it out, was an issue with the cable wiring where two cable clips have to be swapped over in order to work in a pre-facelift." anyone know if I could be missing anything from this post? sounds like he had the same issue unfortunately the person is now inactive, so dont know which two cable clips he would be referencing.

Do you have the square connector on the screen?
Do you have the AUX in the glovebox or armrest?

I am trying to resist the need to root it, but if I don't get any response from Chris on the likelyhood of a couple of mods (removal of the restriction on Bluetooth connections, and the ability to change the apps for the music and video home shortcuts) I may well look into it and make the changes myself. DPI would be another I would look at as I agree, Waze is not good on that layout, but not enough to drive me to root it.
