If the car is one where the screen has the black connector (square one) rather than the normal one and has the UCI aux in the glovebox then you need to use the additional loom with the silver box and connect the two wires together and then connect swap the A/B cables and change the loop back connector for the other one on the cable which is now not used.
Do you have the square connector on the screen?
Do you have the AUX in the glovebox or armrest?

It gives us an idea of what configuration the cabling and the mode on the unit needs to be in to work. There was a pdf posted earlier in the thread which shows the wiring options for the different modes.

aux is in the arm rest,
I have the blue / green connector into the back of the screen and then additionally what looks like a power cable alongside it (small) ntg 4.5
as seen in this vid 3:30
this is my stock / default setup
gonna try the a/b cabling swap as mentioned tomorrow aswell and get back to you guys.
Thanks for the advice Sly

Sounds like you should just need to connect the screen up, the second cable isn't needed. The A/A cable should then be fine and you will need to set the mode to 4 on the Android head unit. If that doesn't work you have to remove the loop back connector, swap the cable over and then put the other corresponding loop back cable onto the now unused connector.

Is anyone experiencing no voice-based navigation from Android Auto? I have checked the screen settings menu for both Navi and System Volume and the Music app works fine. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

So the conclusion with mine is, i got the wrong wiring loom, hence why i cant even see a boot up, i think mine is for a GLA rather than my 13' A class on ntg 4.5
If anyone has seen a place I could buy a wiring loom for an A class (W176) any help would be appreciated, (Vendor/ website)
If anyone has one would also be nice? or wants to swap
messaged Chris for advice but dont know if he can help at this point.
I guess this is what happens when you buy used

There's only a test feature in the dev menu. All apps are not working properly with it (they'll either switch to fullscreen, or not open). For example the music "app" of the launch screen won't scale down, and only half of it will be displayed (so it'll work better if you put it on the right, to still see and use its buttons).

Thanks Chris for the reply, but I didn't understand. was it possible for V1 but no more for V2? and does it means that there is no way to connect to car sound through Bluetooth? in fact I feel the quality of sound transfered through Aux is bit cheaper than the sound quality through Bluetooth (i could be totaly wrong). I wish if I could get the sound through Bluetooth. I would enjoy it.

You also have to have the "Google" app installed in order to get the voice control as it is part of the assistant.

Why you wouldn't become a paid sponsor I have no idea, considering you have tens if not a hundred interested parties in this thread alone, not counting what you might have site-wide. A little clear explanation and a reasonably done v2 demonstration video and you'd have people lining up to order, myself included.

You know what it cost???? Cant afford it..And Im not here to sell..I have NEVER said buy from me or posted a link to my store. Im here to help..Im here as a BIG Mercedes enthusiast wich Ive been for 25 years now modding MBs...I should not have to pay to help just because my channel logo is in the beginning of the video as a copyright so no other steal my video wich happened before.

There wasn't much room but under the unit you should be able to fit part of the harness. Took me 15 minutes but keep trying, you'll get it eventually. Fished the wires on the glove box side.
