Has anyone tried to attach the GPS to the windshield?
If so would the sticky tape already applied to the back of the GPS receiver be strong enough to hold in in place?

Yes IF you DONT have the aux conectors.Then it goes via the quadlock.

Yes I always do it like that. With 3M tejp.

I have two connectors in the center armrest, one is a USB connector and the other one is the Media Interface connector also called AMI (I believe).

Got my unit installed. Everything looks good. Just need to figure out the whole SIM card issue to get that to work.

Ok great. First issue. Lol. So while I'm driving. The unit tends to turn on and off. If I'm parked. Perfectly fine. Any thoughts.

I think you are out of luck with the SIM card if you are in the US.
Here is the info from Carsara about the LTE bands the unit supports:
"Support 4G network TD-LTE: B39 / B40 / B41; FDD-LTE: B1 / B3 / B7 / B8 in Asia-Pacific region (not support 4G outside Asia-Pacific region)"

Try and by-pass the black box on cablekit.
