Approach Lighting on 2014 E350
I noticed last night that my car doesn't illuminate when I approach it. I thought it did it in the past like all my other Mercedes I have owned. I checked all of the convenience/lighting settings and didn't see anything.

Until I touch the door handle or I press the remote the car will not illuminate. I have the 2014 E350 sport

I have yet to own a Mercedes that automatically wakes up when getting near it. Which models did you have that did that? I have to touch the door handle or use the fob. Please share your other automated MB cars as I’m really curious now.

Only Lincoln and Tesla, IIRC, do that. Mercedes hasn't implemented proximity sensing yet. Unless you had a special before-it's-time feature on your vehicles?

Really. Come on OP get back in your own thread and show us what we are missing. Which MB models are you referencing?
I obviously referenced/named the option/feature incorrectly. I was referring to the Side Mirror Puddle lights and they were not illuminating when I Unlocked the vehicle with he key fob. I did a Reset Factory Settings, restarted the vehicle and all is functioning properly. BTW- The "Approach" Lighting was on my 2013 Toyota Avalon Limited. |
