2014 E350 Bluetooth telephone volume issues

I have a 2014 E350 4Matic and a iPhone 8 Plus. When I listen to the radio or CD's etc. the volume is perfect and you can raise and lower it easily. However, when I use the hands free Bluetooth lately I have trouble hearing the other person and the volume knob and the volume controls on the wheel do little to help. Is there a setting that I can change in the COMAND or in the iPhone to fix this issue?

Thanks,
Matt

check the volume settings on your phone. If the volume from your phone is too low (even when using bluetooth music/phone) then the volume will also be low in the vehicle.

+1 on checking volume settings on phone first. IIRC you can also boost device volume under BT phone options

+1. That is likely your culprit.

Bluetooth Volume

I had the same issue. I connected the phone to the usb port and selected bluetooth audio from the Audio menu. Once it was re-enabled the volume worked like it should. I disconnected the cable and it still worked fine.
