Taking car in tomorrow for a B service. 4 years old and I finally just reached enough miles to get 1st oil change. Good thing is I have a coupon for $50 off the service and I have a $350 off from Mercedes Benz USA. It should not cost me very much. I believe they will flush the brake lines and do oil change and change out the batteries on the remote keys. Do not know what else they will do.

Service pricing is very shop-depended. I would not take car to a stealer without checking how much they charge Often dealer across the city can charge hundreds less.

I have brought car in once a year for the oil changes but this is the first year I actually have enough miles for an oil change . First one I had about 2000 miles the 2nd I had about 5000 miles the 3rd about 7500 miles and this one I will have about 13,000. (went on a trip to South Carolina and mobile Alabama. Still have 2 years on warranty. I figure with getting about $400 off it should not be very costly at the dealer.

most of the time car sits in a heated garage with cover over it. Only need to wash it once or twice a year except when on a trip then it gets washed every day. But I love to tinker on the car with add on's. next project is a wolf whistle

The vehicle is four years old, and going in for the (assume second) B service and just getting its 1st oil change? Allowing that M-B produces many different models with many different service intervals, am not aware of any that allow the vehicle to be driven as long as four years without oil change.

For example, the oil change interval on a 16 GLC is 10,000 miles or 12 months, which ever comes first.

mine is 12 months or 12,000 miles since I finally went over 12,000 miles I finally made it past the mileage portion of needing an oil change. Each previous year I made the yearly requirement only. When I bought the car they said 12,000 miles for an oil change and I said see you in 4 or 5 years, They said no 12,000 miles or 12 months. sorry you got confused.

The 12 months interval in USA is dictated by lawyers (you can google class action suit from early 2000') and I take it with grain of salt. European MB do have 2-years system on the same models.
I have several engines that run very little every season and I don't hesitate to run them on 5-7 years old oils.
The only potential issue on stored engines is condensation dripping down to oil pan, but that doesn't apply to garaged vehicles.

They should also change the cabin air filter as part of the B service. The brake fluid is not part of the B service at my dealer - they charge separately for that even though the intervals coincide if you don't drive more than 10k a year. Around me, it is about $450-500 for B plus brake fluid at a dealer.

2 years ago they did the brake fluid and the cabin filter but I only had about 5000 miles. The cabin filter looked like new. This time I will have them just check the cabin filter and only change it if it is dirty. I have owned cars with 150,000 and I never changed the brake fluid. I have 2 more years on warranty then I will take care of car.

Glad that your cabin filters last a long time for you. Mine tend to get a little stinky after 1.5 years even if they look clean.

Older cabin filters had manufacture date on them and couple of times when I was buying +- 10 years old MB, the filter had the same year the car was manufactured in.
Air filters have life depending on pollution you drive in.
In California I had filter gauges on my vehicles and filters lasted for over 100,000 miles. Same with cabin filters. If you have stink in high-humid states, it most likely comes from charcoal filter. Those are expensive, but you can prolong the life by turning AC off few minutes before getting to destination. That will dry out condensation in the system.

Yup, that's my situation. I just try to replace them when needed rather than worry about turning off AC all the time.

You might want to evaluate the situation. When you leave water in AC system, you are growing mold and mold is not taking long to start growing.
Things with molds can go out of control very fast. Moving to Las Vegas, I have to deal with humidifiers as without them I build huge static electricity and get shocked hundreds times a day.
So doing my homework, I learn the the most popular, cheap cold water humidifiers can grow bacteria costing pneumonia.
One of forum members ended up in hospital after being exposed to the device.
Don't think you want to find such phenomena the hard way.
In my case I am in process of installing hot water humidifier.
The project will cost about $1000 to install and some money to operate, but I figure out that avoiding one hospital hospitality will make it worth it.

A year ago on February 10th I had a problem with the navigation . Dealer had car for over 2 weeks. MBUSA said they would give me a coupon good for $350 off next service. It was good until February 28 2018. I used it on B service. Had car done and I wound up paying $103.47.
