it doesn't look bad, i think going 245/35 and 285/30 would look good keeping stock ride height

cocobeex 05-14-2018 04:20 AM

that is exactly same specs as mine.

Looks good but profile is very low. Not very comfy

I am also looking into 19" and i want it to be meaty look. As i need performance.

Thats what I was thinking but all the “it’s going to rub” commenters scared me into sticking with the 25s.

Anyone wanna buy a set of tires? Lolol

YEAH :)
That was the moment where I figure out less words is more.
I made similar topic in the past http://www.benzworld.org/forums/gene...out-22-mb.html
W212 seem to generate a group of owners who do that to their cars. I read European forum, where not only cars get low-profile wheels, but are drastically lowered as well, so the owners carry stack of wood planks in the trunk to get on some driveways.
Bottom line, this is wasting perfectly good car and making it unusable for normal driving.
The only thing I don't know how many of such owners bought the car for their own earned money.

Shut up :violent:

Whats your setup? I cant tell from your signature pic. If I didn't buy them from such a horrible company I would try to return them for more rubber :hammer:

First of all, I'm black :zoom: lol. At least I didn't go with 26" lol lol. I get what youre saying though. I'm not into the lowered joints but I do like larger wheels. With that said, my expectation was for a LITTLE more rubber though. Our roads aren't horrible and I always look for potholes instinctively. I just came out of a lifted Jeep with big mud tires so this ride still feels like I'm floating :zoom:

FWIW, I saw your car and it helped me go in this direction. Love yours

It's all in fun. I am running the E63 AMG 19" staggered wheel setup on my E550 4M. The wheels are 19x9 and 19x9.5. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position s-04, 245/35 and 285/30. They are as skinny as I was willing to go and I had no desire to get to a 20" wheel.

Some of you guys would really hate japanese car culture.

It's all about expression of self. If you want to run 20s, run 20s. Some people want 16s with 55 sidewall, whatever. Don't judge, it's not your car. You keep doing you man.

Rears look really stretched. That looks like one very uncomfortable ride.

Since I just came out of lifted Jeep I’m not the best judge lol, but it’s really not that bad. For sure not quite as comfy as factories but definitely not a deal breaker as an onlooker may think.

As as far as the stretch, there is a trade off with sidewall height if I go 295 in the rear. I’m probably going to move to 30 sidewall and I don’t think that’s possible with a 295. Not sure of the calc off hand to know the sidewall loss.

That's a nice setup. I have a pre-facelift e550 4matic.. running staggered (235/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 - 8.5/9.5). If i were to switch to 235/45/19 and 265/40/19, think I'd have any rubbing issues? I assume my overall diameter might be close to yours. do you experience any rubbing?

I have no rubbing issues. You should check a plus sizing calculator. That’s almost a 2” jump on the rears. My guess is that’s too tall.

Did anyone end up trying the 245-35-20/285-30-20 combo?

I did. I gouged the front tire from the tires on this thread so I went with 245/35 and 285/30. My front rubs on dips and bumps. I’m probably going back to 245/30 or possibly 255 once I look at calculations.

Assuming you still have the same rims, what offset are they?

Youre testing me lol. Seems like it was 35 front and 45 rear. They are pretty flush with fender. Nice!!
