Good morning fam,
Anyone know of a good remedy to fix this crack/split :( . I want to fix it before it gets worse.

Go to boat parts supplier and they have whole upholstery repair kits.
That will have plastic to melt over the cut, can have iron included, special molds to match your grain and then variety of colors to mix it.
Lot of fun to make such repair and the results depend on your skills.
Still the repairs done on the boat (lot of UV) did not last, so considering this is just cover, I would look for used one.

^^^ Yeah they have vinyl repair kits at my local auto store that would do this. I used one to repair a leather insert on a desk once. Basically some resin and iron and a pattern to give it some texture. Black should be easier to do than the redish brown I was doing. I might consider having that redone in real leather or getting a new one.

That bubble area just above the split is exactly what started to happen to my car too. Luckily it got replaced under ELW, but I also think a repair on yours may not work out great. It seems some of these covers delaminate over time so if you fix one spot another may crop up. I wonder if a complete recover may be needed for long lasting repair.

That area is exactly where my elbow rests and I'm sure it is the same for you. I cannot imagine any repair that would last. Over the years these E class console storage bins have all suffered from similar fates of early wear. My W211 was the same.

Buy a new lid as the repair will look like S.

You could ask the dealer if they have an upholstery repair guy they could recommend. I had a similar (actually worse) split on the driver's arm rest of a Lexus and had the dealer get it repaired. I got rid of the car about 7 or 8 years later, and the repair was still just fine.
