I have looked pretty much everywhere and cannot find any instructions on how to remove the center console and the center console storage container.

I am also looking for instructions on how to remove the passenger rear center console AC vents. There's a lot of great info for the older W212's but now the 2014-2015 and 2016.

Here's the mess I have created thus far.

you pull straight up on it.

The order you are doing it is all wrong because there are two torx 20 screws under the vent that secure that armrest assembly. then the 12 volt cigarette outlet cover is pull out, you remove all the wires. You could have bent the two screws by pulling on the armrest beforehand.

Actually just internet search GLK or C350 instructions, its the incredibly similar.

Alright, so I just didn't have the courage to pull the rear passenger air vents hard enough for the plastic molding to pop, which is different than the W212s from 2011-2013. I think a lot of the center console nuances are just for the 2014-2016 and certain AMG variants.

Here are some pictures for anyone else looking to pop the majority of the center console items on a W212 2014-2016 model.


Pull up and run a plastic pick along the sides you will feel the clips pop and pull up.


Here are the two Torx screws that need to be removed for the center console to be removed.
