DIRECT INJECTION CARBON BUILD/UP M272
Hello, fellow Benzers...
i understand from researching the Direct injection motors in W212 2012 / 2013 models
that carbon build/up can be an issue, as it is for Audi, BMW & VW.
I’d appreciate feedback about engine issues you’ve encountered with MB DI.
My impression is that Port Injection (which I have on my 2 MB’s) burns cleaner. My research to date seems to point to DI engine cleaning every 50,000 miles or so at costs of $600 - $1000.
Your advice is sought & appreciated...
