Lights and horn honk briefly while at car wash
Hey guys,
I noticed when I wash the 2014 AMG E63 S with a high pressure spray gun at a car wash that the car loves to flash it's lights, love tap the horn once or twice and randomly fold the mirrors in.
I have tried completely leaving the car unlocked, pressing the unlock button countless times but the behaviour continues. Locking the car fully, with the mirrors folding and the same deal.
How do I stop the car from acting possed at the car wash? It's the only car I've owned where I couldn't easily control the security features on command.

Assuming here that you have keyless GO and keyless lock/unlock, as I do...
I wash my car by hand, proving I'm not too lazy I guess... Except... Apparently I'm too lazy to simply take the key fob out of my pocket and place it in the garage (50 feet away) so the car would not talk to me every time a sponge -- or even water from the hose -- came close to the door handles.
Point is, park the car where you want it (in whatever lock/unlock state you want) then place the key fob out of range...

I can report the same:
I also have keyless GO on my car and it also locked/unlocked when I was washing it. As DFWdude mentioned, it responded to both sponge or water from the hose. Once I left keys out (out of range) , it stopped.

Keyless GO! There's no issue here. Like someone has already suggested, if it pains you that much just remove your key from the proximity of your vehicle and wherever you're going to eventually keep it at.You can also leave the key inside your car while you wash it (of course after unlocking) and this is assuming you will not "accidentally" lock it. But then again, why would you want to go through all that stress? I keep my key on my person whenever am washing my car either by hand or at the car wash. The constant unlock/lock doesn't bother me at all...[call it my inner peace of mind].
