Heheheee..... I have a 2010 E550.... I love the car, but I had a jolt when I replaced my front shocks. 1500 piasters ea. and that doesn't include installation. But she's worth it..... :>)))

Please, do tell us how you feel after Arnott shocks installed.

I am planning to replace mine too.

FWIW, I used the Arnott rears on my E63. Absolutely no discernible difference in the ride or handling.

My 2010 E550 never needed any Airmatic spring or shock work while I owned it. I did have to replace the rear shocks (not air springs) on my W211 E550 with Airmatic. It was a fairly easy procedure from what I was told. The shocks are pricey, however. Looks like these are $600 or so, and should be replaced in pairs, especially with your mileage.

what were the symptoms of bad rear shocks?

KEY08 09-04-2018 08:48 PM

They were both leaking.

The rear end of the car drops visibly when parked overnight.
