Rear Door issue
 

Hi folks,

​​​​​The wife had the kids out last nyt and the read passenger door wouldn't open so she pulled the door leaver until it either broke or she pulled the cable to far. I have taken off the door panel this morning but still cannot get the door open. Anyone any suggestions what the issue would be or how to fix it. I have attach photos of the panel off as hopefully someone has encountered this issue before. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...bba8067659.jpg Also the central locking won't go up or down on the door. To unlock and as such the outside handle won't unlock either. Has me baffled to say the least.

I believe that black rod thats hanging , needs to go into a rubber grommet and come out on top where the window is at.
not sure tho.. been a long time since i disassembled these.

it just snapped off..would be my guess

Looks like it's just the door pin line pulled out from the door card after he took it off.

Thanks mate will have a look around the attachments you sent. In the meantime I did ring a car locksmith but he stated he could open the door but probably would lock after which would be no use as can't have the car with no back door lock. I also called with a car body work man and he wouldn't look at it, but I would of thought someone like this could have got the door opened and sorted. No doubt end up robbed by mercedes dealer. Oh if I got another door is it only a matter of taking the door of the hinges and replacing or does it required to be coded for the central locking.

Yes I took the grommet out myself but it won't go up or down.
