Rear armrest cup holder broken?
I recently purchased a 2014 E250 Bluetec. I noticed that the rear armrest cup holder does not come up level when the cup holder/armrest is opened. Appears to may be missing a part/spring? Can anyone tell from the photos if a part is missing? Or can you post a pic of your similar rear cup holder mechanism so that I can try to repair it. Thanks All!!!

I think you are missing the spring or it is broken Could not find where spring was but as soon as I press button the cup holder pops up and opens

dbldpr...thanks for the pics...You're probably correct about broken spring..but I don't know where it would be attached. If you get a chance, can you shot a pic of the cup holder mechanism from the front so I can see if there is a spring/piece missing on mine? Thanks!!

Assume you're out of warranty. If it cannot be repaired, $79 sacrificial cup holder replacement here: http://www.usedautopartsyouneed.com/...330-13073.html

Ok...the mystery continues. I remove the back seat and found these items. 42 cents, pieces of paper, hair clip, and plastic pieces. I'm guessing the broken yellow plastic pieces are the parts I need to fix the cup holder. Any ideas? |
Any luck with repairing or replacing the cup holder in the rear seat armrest? I just bought a 14 E63S and the cup holder in the rear seat armrest is broken. It looks like one of the arms is broken, but I do not know how to replace the entire cup holder unit. Did you find any instructions or anything else that would be useful? The dealership told me MB only sell the entire rear armrest for $625 + Tax & labor.
Thank you, Kevin |

My 14 E63S has no warranty, used car bought as is. I was hoping I could replace the plastic cup holder assembly vs. replacing the entire armrest. The armrest for E63 has upgraded leather & to replace the black leather armrest is $625 + tax for the part + labor if I don't want to tackle the job.
Hopefully I can find some good info., but not much luck yet. |
Anything new on this front? I have a need for a fix here

I was able to place a spring between the two cup holder openings which worked well. The spring was about 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" long. There was a small hole in the center top which I was able to connect the top of the spring and then just used black velcro on the bottom of spring. This method keeps the cup holder up when console opened and closes/compressed well when closed. I don't have any pics as that vehicle got flooded during our last flood waters in September.
