i suspect he had the E300. Pretty sure there would have been a completely different reaction to an E400 as it would smoke his E350.

It probably was a 300, I know it was a 4 banger cause I popped the hood on it. I'm one of those guys that always has to look at the motor, not so much at the back of the car...

Well at least you got an E class. They usually just have the cheapest C class with no options.

Could be worse. Last time I got a GLA, drove it home parked it, and took my truck out of the garage till it was time to go back. I've driven the GLA before and disliked them, but this time I hit my head on the A pillar getting in so there was nothing redeeming it.

What I really want to know is what the OP did?

I think it had something to do with the fact that I ended up working with the service manager, not just one of the writers and let him do the transmission flush on the car. The first loaner, the C class, I got when I left it for 4 new conti tires when they had that special earlier in the year. A month later I saw a nail in the R front tire and took it in for service. The original service writer had left, so the manager helped me out, ordered me a brand tire but had to keep it overnight. Since I needed to get the tranny done, I figured it was as good a time as any. Guess it was their way of saying thanks for the business. I sure didn't mind.
