Mercedes Air Intake Inlet Duct tube question
I have a 2010 E550 and was getting ready to change out the air filters. When I started to remove the air intake duct tubes I noticed that both were cracked and had holes in them at the "bellows" side by the airbox. Both were underneath so perhaps heat made them brittle? The p/n on it is A272 094 12 11 and I guess there is a left and right p/n. Can I buy just that plastic bellows part or do I have to buy the whole unit? I found what appears to be the correct whole tubes but they have p/n2730902682 for the right and 2730902582 for the left. Can someone chime in... looks like something that would happen after a few years and heat. Thanks!

Duct tape, or Black Gaffer's tape (if color is an issue). These are not high tech parts.

Thanks for the replies! I was afraid to use tape to seal them. I also wondered if the leaks would affect the intake air signal. konigstiger thanks again for your help!

My S430 had duct tape on these tubes for the 40K miles that I put on the car and no issues whatsoever.

I have used aftermarket air inlets on my 2010 550. Been fine for about 2 years already.(and it was only about 30 bucks where originals are about 80 per one for a used one)
Had the same issue as you. |
There is a thread about these on here somewhere

Follow up on my old post. Is there anyone who replaced their air duct intakes with aftermarket and still have an uncracked set of the plastic vents they would like to part with?

Had the same issue as you. where did you buy the aftermarket ones? All the ones I find are for the E350’s. |
